YOUR Washington Bullets are at 3-1 after REAL DEAL BEAL's game winning shot vs. the Spurs!

A short road trip begins in Boston against the young Celtics. They are coming off a loss at Indiana. Isaiah Thomas is a known Wizards killer and should have another big game.

Hey, all the white guys are ghettoized down at the bottom! Or is that urban gentrification working its way across the roster?

Wizards 101 Celtics 94

Celtics off to a poor start, they will play this one with some sense of desperation. I want us to crush them honestly.

Am I the only one who thought this was a dumb/poorly executed joke?

Anyway, gl guys, I'll be watching the Nets/Lakers game, but this should be a good one. We haven't looked great or consistent, and this is likely an L for us, but maybe we get lucky and steal it.

IT usually kills the Wizards? Maybe I missed that last year or you are referring to his Phoenix/Sac days, but that's an encouraging statement.

Posted here infrequently last year when Pierce was on your team. Great forum and group of guys. GL on the season. Rooting hard for Wall, Beal and Porter (fantasy related ;) I actually have Porter in two leagues).

Unlikely given the way our body language has looked recently.

Monte doesn't make dumb jokes but rather very tongue in cheek comments.
If you don't read him every day, your life somehow just isn't really complete.

*reads post history*

Nvm, that dude is indeed hilarious. One dud joke is fine when you're consistently funny the rest of the time. Forgive me, I don't read your forum ;)

Now I know what was missing from my life.

He is one reason why I humbly submit we have the best board on RealGM.
You should also read Doclinkin.

At least at the beginning of the year, Boston's Bench was better than Boston's starting 5. They may have moved Isiah Thomas and Johnson to the starting Unit, which would change things, as they appear to be their two biggest impact players. It's amazing how much success that team has had despite having so few players that make you think, "man, I want him starting on my team."

The Knicks forum have the most lol inducing poster though. Rasho Brezec.

Brad Stevens.

Also we haven't had much success lol.

Don't want to contradict Jim, but I'm sure you're not alone. It was a pretty lame joke. Will have to up my game. I usually go with head size, hair style, or eye spacing comparisons. Stats of any kind are pretty useless when analyzing basketball. I rely on the eye patch.

Put Amir Johnson, Kelly Olynyk & Isaiah Thomas on our team and I think we could win the East (mainly because I don't trust Love or Irving to stay healthy). I've loved all three players for years. Amir was a really underrated signing. He defends the paint extremely well and is smart offensively. Kelly is a gamer, just skilled and knows how to play. Isaiah is straight baller who gets points whenever he plays. Isaiah may be the best player under 6-0 ever. Imagine we had these guys instead of Neal, Hump & Blair.

Now is probably a good time to try to trade for Olynk. Doesn't look like he's going to succeed in Boston and they need to shorten their rotation.

I think CCJ has said this, but I do not like the Hump/Gortat starting front court. Both these guys would do better next to a play making big. Pairing Gortat with Duds and Hump with Nene makes a lot of sense. Unfortunately because of Duds poor conditioning we can't start him, so I would consider starting Nene over Gortat for the time being.

I would love to trade for him, but I doubt they give him up for a first. Boston strikes me as a team trying to move away from asset acquisition and are trying to actually win games. I don't know what we could offer them to improve their team immediately.

Well I have to +1 that. Even the doclinkin part.

My previous prediction had coffee spilled on it. New one says Wizards 104 Celtics 91. Beal will score 25.5 points, getting an ultra rare 3.5 pointer. Both teams better cooperate.

Humphries could use a signature game (like 4-4 from behind the arc) to make him someone teams start to notice on offense. All the Wizards PFs look like backups to me.

Yup. He gives Wall hell.

Really wish we traded for him.

We need Smart to play though and we need to limit Porter as much as we can. Not saying we should rush Smart back though. Toe injuries are serious and scare the **** out of me. Heal up, Marcus.

I'll be focused/writing notes on the Nets game, but I will put this on in the background. GO CS!!!!!!!

Humphries and Gooden make the defense suspect

Nene and Gortat will never play together because of offensive spacing issues but together they anchored the defense really well.

Trying to give my forum compatriots hope, man. People think we are a 50 win team. Trust me, I have an unreasonably bleak outlook on this game and the season as a whole.

Celtics played the Wiz tough last season

And the Wiz are having rebounding issues with the new pace and space system

Celtics gonna have a good shot and they're at home :D

Don't know how I feel about this match up. Boston has even better depth than San Antonio, and our rotations are still struggling. Randy needs to start going smaller early and often.

I think it's a reasonable bleak outlook. :D The Celts have a LOT of interesting players, but very few seem to have reached a point where they're dependable game in and game out. Thomas did always seem to beast against the Wiz when he was with the Kings, and he's an established player in his prime, but... he wasn't in high demand when he signed with Phoenix, and then Phoenix quickly dumped him. There's an indication that he might not be considered the best teammate. Sullinger has put up very good numbers for a young big, but there's negativity about his weight and conditioning. Olynyk is a skilled 7 footer but nearly pulled off Love's arm and disappears a lot. They seem to have some fascination with defensive-minded tweener guards who have trouble shooting. The entire roster is like a collection of interesting players in search of a superstar to lead them.
