John Wall faces off against Reggie Jackson

Despite not having Bradley Beal, the Wizards have won their past two games against the Magic and the Bucks. I0f the Wizards want to stand out in the East, they are going to have to keep winning. Including Washington, there are currently 9 teams in the Eastern Conference that are over.500. The Pistons appear to be one of the teams that the Wizards will battle for playoff seeding.

Wall had made comments this offseason about how Jackson is paid more than him, Jackson looked worthy of that salary in his last game against the Cavs

Like the Bucks who the Wizards played last Tuesday, the Pistons are coming off an impressive win against the Cavaliers. Washington was 2-1 against Detroit last season although the Wizards lost their only game at Detroit. Washington could benefit from the scheduling as Detroit will be playing in its second game of a back to back.

- If Beal makes his return this Saturday, Beal will get an opportunity his critics wrong that Washington should have taken Drummond over Beal in the 2012 NBA Draft. If Beal does not make his return, it will be interesting to see Garrett Temple can continue his efficient play as of late.

Drummond is the better player no mater what Beal does. That's not to say the Wiz were wrong to take Beal over Drummond, every draft has boom or bust players and Drummond fits that description perfectly. He just happened to be one of the few that achieved his upside.

Regarding the game, Detroit is going to be coming off a back to back while the Wiz have multiple days of rest. That plus keeping turnovers down will be the key to success.

They look pretty smart right now to have kept Drummond and let Monroe walk.

Drummond has been a beast so far.

Prediction: Gortat with 3 fouls in the first quarter. Ends up with 4 points, 2 boards.

I'd love to see Wall come out and just dominate Jackson but since the game is in Detroit, which has always been a house of horrors for us IIRC, I bet it'll be the other way around.

And Drummond will own us.

Kinda hoping DET wins tonight so they come out complacent tomorrow. Ersan is shooting well for them while Morris has plummeted back to Earth. I haven't watched DET in much detail, does Drummond has any semblance of a Post game now, or is still PnR and putbacks mostly?

Because the way Wall ran his mouth about that contract. He crossed a line. I'm not one of those thought it was some egregious thing to say. Just not to be said publicly. Which Wall would know if he wasn't an idiot...

I broke my don't talk down Wall rule, on here, oops.

One thing I'm reminded about the Pistons as I check their box score vs the Wolves, is they have a terrible bench. The starters have played very well on defense and offense, but the bench has been a dumpster fire in every facet of the game. Hopefully that continues tomorrow.

I did a skim of the standings, and it looks like other teams have all played between 11-14 games, not including today, yet we've only played 9. It really is kind of odd.
