After the first round of voting results, Kyrie Irving (who has played 2 games so far this season as I type this) has more votes than John Wall.

OBSERVATION: People are stupid.

Time to take the vote away from fans. Being an All star used to mean something. Now it's a popularity contest for this p*ssified generation.

Guys, I understand the vote for Kobe. The dude has been in the league forever and has performed well over his career and this is his 20th year in the league, all for the same time. I give my props to him and his work for the last two decades.

But to paraphrase Lloyd Bensen:

I know Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant is a friend of mine. Kyrie Irving, you're no Kobe Bryant.

Morning tip: John Wall says trailing Kyrie Irving in All-Star votes a 'joke'

BROOKLYN -- At this time last season, John Wall had the look of awe on his face about the first tallies of NBA All-Star balloting. He was first in the East among guards. Now, he's dismissive of the results that were released this week that have him fifth, behind Dwyane Wade, Kyrie Irving, Kyle Lowry and Jimmy Butler.

"It's a joke" Wall, who didn't make one mention of his strained right ligament in his knee, bruise on the same knee, high right ankle sprain and bone spur, told CSNmidatlantic.com after his 15th double-double. "I played like **** the first month and a half but I still was averaging like 16 and eight. That's not bad numbers."

The Wizards (14-14) only have recently gotten back on track. Wall had 22 points and a game-high 13 assists in Saturday's 111-96 win vs. the Brooklyn Nets.
