.Sorry about the bare bones (and late) game thread again, gents. Jammed at home.
Wiz looking for two in a row against teams from the Sunshine state. We'll be with Uncle Drew Gooden as he reinjured his calf after only 4 minutes of play on Friday against Orlando. Drew joins the long list of players unavailable, which includes: Bradley Beal, Nene, Alan Anderson, Gary Neal and DeJuan Blair. (That fivesome, if 100% healthy, would not be too bad of a squad -- they'd be at least Philadephia-like in terms of success.)
Game starts early -- 6:00 p.m. It's Filipino Heritage night, so scarf a bowl of sinigang before heading to the Verizon Center and Let's Go Wizards!

Where: Verizon Center -- Washington, DC
When: Sunday, January 3, 2016 -- 6:00 p.m. EST

Gortat vs Whiteside will be where I'll be initially watching. Here's where I wish we had a healthy Nene.
If Whiteside starts getting effective on his offensive board, I'd put Blair in to hack-a-Whiteside (53% FT shooting).

Being sarcastic. He's been awful.

Temple is a travesty in half court offense. His inability to punish teams consistently kills the floor spacing, especially with Dudley not willing to take more 3s. Does other things fine, but we need to be rid of him as the starting SG soon. Would prefer Beal (when healthy) or Oubre.
Gortat is getting overwhelmed by Hassan, Usually he does well against him.

You can't have a defferential SG like Temple out there against this Miami team, put Sessions in ASAP for Temple.

With all the injuries to the bigs, why don't we use our injury exception on a big body from the D-League. Or even make a minor deal for a backup big?

Man, **** temple's 3 pt shooting lol. He needs to be cutting and moving around more, not running plays for him O_o

I don't like Temple either, but I don't mind him starting because he defends. When Oubre is ready to start, he could play the 2, but he's not as aware defensively and is not a very good ballhandler, which is why he's more of a 3. We have no real choice unless you want to start Sesh.

This org is so fricken cheap, Gooden and or Blair should have been waived and Sims or someone else from the D_league called-up. So frustrating.

I'd rather have three Joey Crawfords than these three f-ing clowns ref this game.
