John Wall to get MRI on knee

Post#1 » by nate33 » Tue Jan 12, 2016 3:10 pm

The point guard is scheduled to undergo a precautionary MRI today on a muscle just above his left knee. Said Wall, who has started in all 36 games this season, on Saturday: "I know you're going to deal with nagging injuries throughout the year. I'm perfectly fine with that. But ... I can't even bend my knee without it being sore."

As a Wizards fan it's never good news when our players go out to seek a second opinion.

Perhaps.

I think the thing to do is get an MRI and try to assess what's going on... which is exactly what they're doing. Afterward, they can decide if the issue is one of knee integrity versus mere pain tolerance.

Tank...no. I think Sessions can fill the void until he comes back. We'll just have to pickup someone competent off the waiver wire who can play 10 mpg.

Sit JW as-soon as possible. Possibly waive Anderson since he will effectively be out for the season anyway and get someone....too-bad about Ish Smith.

If Wall misses time we'll probably see Beal getting minutes at PG behind Sessions when he gets back, something nobody here wants to see.

Seems reasonable, if he's got an immediate out clause.

Unfortunately, the Wizards can't afford to offer a maximum contract, and anything less would surely be viewed as a vile insult by a player of Crawford's stature.

That or get nate robinson, at least give me something to watch this season. No way I can make it through a Beal/Temple backcourt

Hopefully this pushes the Wiz front office to sell our tradeable assets and tank the rest of the season. Sessions, Neal, and Duds are all guys who could improve a bench. The Bulls for example desperately need a guy like Duds to help balance their big heavy roster. Beal is another guy who should be on the block, but that probably won't happen.
