Good morning Wizards fans,
I come here with question about Milt Newton, the guy that worked for the Wizards before. Does anybody have any insight about this guy. Was an important part of your FO? Was he bad? Was he good? Anything?

Re: Milt Newton
Milton M. Newton is in his ninth season with the Washington Wizards organization. As the Wizards Vice President of Player Personnel, he is actively involved in the procurement of players through the draft and free agency, heads the scouting department for the franchise, and assists with the management of the salary cap. Newton has been instrumental in the team's rebuilding effort that has added Jan Vesely, Chris Singleton and Shelvin Mack through the 2011 NBA Draft to a core that already featured John Wall, Andray Blatche, JaVale McGee, Nick Young, Trevor Booker and Kevin Seraphin. Newton created Washington's comprehensive scouting database that includes players from the collegiate level and professional ranks encompassing the world. He coordinates the Wizards' pre-draft scouting efforts, as well as facilitates the team's workouts of prospective draftees and player interviews. Milt also serves on the NBA's Undergraduate Advisory Committee.
i'd be legitimately shook if I were you is all I can say

For what its worth--we're still absolutely reeling from the misses in that draft, but I'm sure its something he's learned from.

Re: Milt Newton
We have another top 10 pick coming and Milt looks like our main decision maker for the first time on his own without Flip. The past 3 draft have been good. But I'm not sure if was all Flip or Milt did a lot of work. Milt was rumored pro Towns, while Flip was on the Okafor/Towns for a while, but Flip loved Porzingis. Either way I don't really trust Milt being on his own.

I want to know if our FO was united on picking Oubre over Portis. I would posit that whenever possible, EG will always consolidate multiple 2nd round picks.
