Nets at Wiz / Pistons at Magic Game Thread

I thought it would be okay to add the Pistons game in this thread since they play the same exact time as us, the game is so important to us, and I feel like people will be giving us updates in this thread anyways so you might as well just go all the way. We are now 3 games back of Detroit, own the tiebreaker, and play them next so if Orlando wins then we have a great shot. Orlando is fully healthy, playing great, and you know they will want to keep Harris & SVG out of the playoffs.

As for our game, The Nets are resting both Lopez and Thad so no excuse to lose either game left with them. The funny thing is that the media hasn't even been having us on the list for the 8th seed. Then I go to the Pistons board and they are the exact same. They all think we are pretty much already eliminated. It will get interesting if Orlandowins

This game is the biggest threat to my record prediction of 37 wins. Don't fail me now by deciding to give a schitt!

Detroit has 4 remaining games. Washington has 5. The magic number is 2. The total number of Detroit wins plus Washington losses cannot exceed 2 or else we are eliminated.

Nate, when I say a good chance, you have to understand that I'm coming from a pro Wiz pov. We have done nothing to prove that we can run the table but when I say good chance, its because I'm giving us those 5 wins since we really have no chance without it and remember that I said "if" Detroit loses tonight so I'm talking about us being 2 back after tonight, with the tiebreaker, and us playing them next

Pacers have two more winnable games Nets and Knicks. This is going to be very close making the 8th seed this year.

I really feel sorry for _ohn Wall.

The Jorge Castillo article yesterday about Grunfeld's contract status practically makes the case that the Wizards wasted this season in the hope of signing KD2DC in the coming off-season.

No wonder the guy seems like an alcoholic. (Just my opinion and I'm not judging him.)

He really needs to publicly ask for a trade or new upper management to field a competent roster.

The Pistons/Magic game actually does interest me in a Schadenfreude kind of way. There will be several players in key roles for their teams that the Wiz could have drafted if their front office wasn't utterly incompetent. Not to mention SVG having been available for several years.

In other news: Just another reason to #FireEFG...

Somebody has to occupy this point of view!

If Chicago, Detroit and Indiana all lost all the rest of their games, and we win all the rest of our games, we are in the playoffs @#7, are we not? Chicago doesn't even have to lose all the rest of their games.

That would be fun. And if Ernie has been retained anyway, it doesn't even affect his future.

What an irony it would be if that's how it turned out! The great thing is it might give us the inside lane on signing Rudy Gay or someone like that.

And if that pans out, we can look forward to some entertaining threads and posts next season about what a great signing Rudy Gay was, as he pulls the Wizards to the pinnacle. Maybe even all the way to the 6th seed.

Playing with my fav game on my old psx Final Fantasy Tactics is much better fun than watching us vs Nets. I will check boxscore later and I am curious if Mr "big mouth" beal will have at least 40% from field - our future max real shooter hehe

I really hope Wall didn't take this game for granted because we haven't been good enough to do that. This should still be a win at home against a horrible team though and Wall has been inconsistent so if we win and this helps him get better for the stretch run then that's good

And the nets tie it up. No defense or rebounding.

Even with Wall out, we gotta beat a short-handed Nets team.
