.This is it. The last game of this lost season. Rumors abound that after this game, Head Coach Randy Wittman will be fired. But the real culprit of the Wizards long-time irrelevence -- Ernie Grunfeld -- will somehow keep his job. This is an affront to any thinking basketball fan and Wizards Owner Ted Leonsis, who fancies himself as some sort of leadership guru, betrays his ignorance on the matter by keeping around a GM with a proven record of failure. Hint to Ted, you're not a leader unless you demand excellence from yourself and from your key people.
We leave this last game thread of the 15-16 season with a retrospect of Ernie Grunfeld's body of work.
Go Wizards!

Looks like this game could have a lot of meaning for Atlanta with 4 EC teams at either 47 or 48 wins right now. If they beat us, and Boston beats Miami, they're clear of the other 3 and win their division. If they *lose*, Boston wins, and Charlotte beats Orlando, all 4 end the season w/ 48 wins.
Do I have this wrong? Seems like they will be very determined to beat us tonight.

If that's the case, if ATL has motivation to win, we are sure to be blown out. The team has already checked out. That win against NJ looked like a YMCA game.

I'm sure we'd rather the Suns pick 15th than 12th, but really who cares?
Utah and Houston have the 8th playoff spot in the West at stake. Utah plays at the Lakers, and the Rockets have Sac'to at home. Each of those games looks like a win.
The Bulls play Philly at home. Also looks like a win.

if they all win and we loose we get 12, if we win and they all loose we get 15, gives us a better chance at that 2.2 % top 3 pick.

Not gonna lie, it hurts a little bit seeing Kris Humphries palling around with his Atlanta teammates, on his way to the playoffs.

Millsap is going to do whatever he wants with Dudley guarding him.

Could be. He gave effort in about 1/2 the games he played this season. Which amounts to about 27 games.

If anybody saw the pregame show, I thought Cory Alexander was interesting because he didn't hold back (that's probably why he's rarely on). Thought that Beal was a bad fit and that the Wiz need help at the 2, 3, and 4. I might add 5 as well if you can get a big that can protect the rim.
