I was working part-time at the Five & Dime. My boss was Mr. McGee. :-(

David Bowie and now Prince. Every year, more great pieces of my generation fall off. And Prince really was too young. He seemed much younger than 57. I wasn't a big fan, but there's no denying his great musicianship, extraordinary presence, innovations, legendary status.

Now hold on a minute if you please...! KR is one of a kind in the good sense. EG is one of a kind in the "thank God!" sense.

He was a musical genius, no denying that even though I wasn't a huge fan.

I half expected this to be a Prince shrine thread started by Wes_Tiny_Abe. Him and Prince are kindred spirits, both a little reclusive and eccentric.

RIPnce.

i wasn't a huge fan but I always appreciated his taste of music. He was truly great in terms of music mind, he was a mastermind himself. Some of his songs/CDs were amazing; some just good or average.

Anyway - great musician, 2016 is really sad in terms of celebrities funerals.

Man, tough day. We used to argue (Largo HS) about who was better, Prince or MJ. Now they are both gone. Always sided with Prince though tough to argue either side as both were immensely talented. I don't think we'll ever see another "artist" like either of them again. Both were born in 1958. Along with Madonna.

The King left us, The Queen (Witney) left us. The Prince left us.
The '80s left us.

I couldn't stop playing Trust from the Batman soundtrack yesterday, what a sad sad day.

What really pissed me off were these idiot kids on social media talking about Prince wasn't popular until 1999
