Don't Panic. The Ship Is Still On Course (to the 4th seed)

Losing out on Durant? Who said we've lost anything at all? How can you lose something you never had or officially pursued? The franchise is still headed in the right direction. The ship is still on course.
This summer the Wizards can be poised to make serious offers to talented free agent big men such as Joakim Noah, Al Horford and Paul Gasol. Regardless, we already have acquired a talented free agent during the season in Markieef Morris if you look at the glass half full. Morris will have a whole offseason and camp to work with Wall and learn the offense. Tomas Santoransky is a strong possibility to be added this summer from Barcelona, a coveted pg. We have to focus on our own homegrown talent who have emerged as stars in their own right and focus on Beals upcoming deal. Management has shown themselves fully capable of adding top quality free agent talent at medium cost so there should be no cause for too much concern with the talent on the roster going into next year. There is momentous excitement with the Scott Brooks hire and the refreshing outlook of his plan for this squad next year offensively and defensively. This is the year Otto Porter most likely will take a huge leap forward in confidence and production on the court. Financially this team is in great shape and we haven't even begun cutting the "fat".
Just hold out a little longer the pieces are coming together, the chips are falling in place this team is almost there. Now is not the time to stop supporting the team.

Should be merged with many of the other "don't panic" threads...

LOL! This is great satire, especially the first paragraph.
Deep ponderings from an empty mind...

he's almost definitely trolling. If he wasn't trolling he would either:
A) defend his positions more
B) stop posting here because he gets obliterated every time

I've defended my position on here numerous times with stats, articles and concrete evidence yet the same malcontents here are opposed to reasoning. You think a handful of salty fans on this board speak for the majority? The large crowd at Verizon Center pumped for the team every game tell a different story.

Is the ship perhaps the Titanic?

You and J. Michael need to get your stories straight.
As William Shakespeare said, "This s**t just writes itself."

He wasn't a free agent. He's someone who's acted like a punk for the last year, and our GM gave up a 1st round pick to get him even though his previous team wanted him off their team. The move to get him was an Ernie Grunfeld PANIC special. The chips are falling into place? How is that, Hands? EG didn't do a thing on draft day - while almost every other NBA team did. All he's done this offseason is interview some marginal players and sign up a Summer League team. Do these chips fall out of your ears when you tilt your head?

Another season ticket holder who gave up after 6 years. I put my money where my heart was and had very expensive seats (this was last season). Only a fool would get season tickets now ( I was that fool at one point).
This ship is going down hard.
Get tickets for half off and don't worry about being 1 of 2 people in the row.
Actually attend games that you want to attend...the three listed above.
I can't wait for Wall to demand a trade out. They have zero plan. Two seasons ago I was spot on with their record. This season I was too optimistic by thinking they were a 500 team.
Unless they gut the roster and get Boogie this run is over. See you in 6 years when finally Ted gets a clue and fired Ernie.
Oh yeah, excellent idea to hire Scott Brooks. Could have waited a few more weeks and had better options.

Nah. He didn't say which ship or which course.
