Wizards play Kings at a neutral Rupp Arena (Kings listed as home team), where Wall and Cousins played college ball.

With Mahinmi and Smith out, Wizards will go small, which should work well, since Kings only have Cousins, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Kosta Koufos in the middle.

The real key to the game will be Garrett Temple, who should rack up a bunch of steals when Wizards think they are passing the ball to Otto-matic.

Couldn't find any broadcast data, so I'll be following the gamecast. If anyone sees any TV broadcast anywhere, please post.

Seems like Burke had his best floor game with 10 assists. Cousins put up 22 points in 26 minutes. No Porter, Jason Smith or Beal. A lot of Nicholson, Johnny O and Ochefu.

124-119 loss. Not a lot of D in this one. Burke with 14pts, 10 assists. Nicholson 19 pts, 5 rebs in 32 minutes. Johnny O 10pts, just 2 rebs. Sato 11pts in 24 minutes. Appears that he played a lot of 2 and was 1 of 4 from 3pt. Oubre with 15pts in 26 minutes.Thornton 13pts with the start at the 2. Guessing if he comes off the bench at the 2 and Burke is the backup 1, will Sato be left out of the rotation? So we waited all those years to see him get no PT? We do need 3 point shooting and Thornton at least gives us that but nothing else.

Assuming if Brooks goes with: (assuming Eddie and House get cut though I guess they could cut Ochefu or O'Bryant).

Another good game for Kelly...

Didn't see the game, but the box score is one of the weirder ones I've seen in a while. The Kings shot an amazing %, making 42 of 70 including 9 of 19 on 3 pointers. Plus they went 82% from the line on 38 attempts to our 18 attempts. Of course they got way more defensive rebounds -- they only missed 28 shots, so there weren't many for us to get. But they had 27 turnovers!

But we took 27 more shots than they did! Because of their turnovers and our offensive boards -- since we missed 50 shots we were for sure going to get more offensive boards than they got on their 28 misses!

Cousins scored 22 points in 26 minutes, going 9-13 from the floor including a 3-pointer. Then again, he had only 5 rebounds and 1 steal and he turned the ball over 7 times -- that would be hard for a Center to do in so few minutes!

Think about it; if you take a shot and miss, your team retains possession @35% of the time, so to equal 7 turnovers you'd have to take and miss 11 shots. Hence, it's as if Cousins went 9-24 with no turnovers. Even with a 3-pointer that's not great - and he went 3-6 from the line.

Anyway, seems like it was more of an exhibition game for UK fans than anything else!

I think Johnny O et the spot IMO I think Sheldon has a real chance to make the team too, we could cut eddie to make room for him. actually we would not even need to do that if we roll with 2 PGs and tomas to start the season.

Burke played for Utah his first 3 seasons -- no "old team" vibe.

But, he does seem to have had quite a good game. A positive night shooting: 6 for 8 on 2 point shots, 2-2 from the line. 10 assists. Only 1 TO in 29 minutes -- and 2 steals against that single TO. On the down side, he continued to have trouble hitting 3-pt shots.

Sac'to played their starters almost 30% more minutes than we did.

Oh that Cousins love! Of course, he also turned the ball over 7 times(!) in 26 minutes.

Johnny O & Ochefu had very good outings.
