I can't take metrics seriously when you post them about Jason Smith. The guy trips over own feet on defense. He isn't great at boxing out. He sets some of the worst screens you'll ever see and other than shooting from the right or left elbow at the line, he's pretty limited. Yet this klutzy 7-footer, who I nicknamed Jason Stiff earlier in the season because he was a stiff, has pretty much saved our bench, at least from the post. He's playing a lot because Mahinmi is hurt, but now he'd be a nice 10 minutes reserve at the 4. Still don't get the length of contract but I am glad we have him.

Now now. It has already been well established that Jason Smith does the defense. He's like Bo Jackson, only he knows more stuff!

Jason Smith so far has been the best free agent signing that Grunfeld made this offseason.

Jason Smith once again making you look foolish. Dominating the Raptors with a team high +16 on 100% shooting, and 4 blocks and 4 steals per 36 minutes. He was so good, the Wiz had to take him out because he made the game unfair, needing only 9 minutes to put the game out of reach for the Raptors.

You and others think he deserves an appreciation thread despite his bone-headed play early on and I think he deserves a little ribbing for it.

Jason Smith "once again" making me look foolish? When did he first make me look foolish? Remind me again, because I don't recall speaking poorly of Jason Smith, if I did, it was likely when he was very mistake-prone.

He's finally showing his value and I like him right along with every other player who shows his value, but an appreciation thread?

Still waiting on the "Trey Burke Appreciation Thread'.
