Larry Sanders is a very good addition if he signs at the veteran minimum.

I think this means that the Wiz don't expect Mahinmi to return anytime soon (this season).

I like Sanders, his game always reminded me a bit of Dennis Rodman. Gortat is playing way too many minutes, getting somebody with his upside could be a boon for the team.

One Ben says yes, the other Ben (Standig) says the report is false according to a close source on his podcast. Either way, it does appear that they have little faith that Mahinmi is going to return this year.

Yup.

I don't trust players who don't appear to like basketball very much. Sanders walked away from a huge contract and a starting role. That's not a guy you take on unless you have absolute confidence in your locker room. I don't think we're there yet.

DC has kind of a sliding scale when weighing your drug offenses. And your drugs.

For the first time in Ernie's 13 years here, the Wizards can actually be seriously considered as destination for a player like Sanders to return to an NBA playoff team. If Ernie had not blown his off-season load on his Front Court signings, this could have potentially worked-out nicely for us....and it still can, at-least for this year. But I suspect Sanders will want to go to a team where he can be part of the rotation and perhaps be the #1 or 2 C.
