Rosen is intriguing.

Would you give up our first for him?

How about this? Our first for Rosen and a third.

I definitely wouldn't offer more than that. If they pick Murray, it's clear they'll trade Rosen, so they lose leverage. And Rosen comes off too much like Jay Cutler for my taste. His interview after the draft was just terrible - not what I'd expect from the team leader. Not to mention his rookie year was horrible - though obviously he was in a bad situation.

Reportedly, the Cardinals are only being offered a 3rd.

...which means the Skins are likely to offer at least a 2nd.

One good thing about Rosen is he's on a rookie contract, and I believe he was given a bonus that would have the effect of lowering his dollar cost even more.

Apparently, the Skins have also shown interest in Antonio Brown. Some things never change. Let's win the offseason!

kyler murray had really disappointing interviews at the combine. next year is the perfect year to draft boring (OL and DL), tank, and hit the qb bonanza that will be c/o 2020.

Agreed. Skins really need to do a multi-year rebuild instead of patching in ordinary players just because they supposedly fit needs.

I was gonna say the good thing about the trade is that it means the Skins won't overpay for Murray or Rosen, but we can't make an assumption like that.

Keenum won more games than Cousins did at Minnesota, but is he anything more than a more durable Colt McCoy.

He's better than Colt but hopefully, Case will end up as the backup to whatever young QB we draft/trade for.

Key words - end up. Maybe there's a lesson to how Rosen was used - or miss-used - last year. Don't force a rookie QB into a bad situation - Rosen went from being a huge asset to a player worth a 3rd rounder.

Agreed, it would still make sense to pick our QB of the future, and we really couldn't go with Colt as the place-keeper, because he's so injury-prone. And frankly, he's injury-prone because he takes foolish unnecessary chances - moreso than him being small.

Overall, I'm fine with the trade - nothiing to be real happy or angry about. I doubt Cousins or RG3 will be rooting for him.

As to your previous point, gotta ask Grant Paulsen how this changes anything with regard to trading for Rosen? En efecto, perhaps it makes it easier to trade for Rosen as Keenum could be an asset that could be used in a trade for Rosen.

Lol, how hard is it to be a Skins fan? I'd be surprised if any other team offered even half that - and it might have been his first offer. In other words, the Skins likely negotiated against themselves. This is another of those moments when you have to wonder How the f does Bruce Allen have this job? Strong safety is the single easiest position to fill in football outside of special teams. The Skins manage to blow the NFL's salary structure on the first day of free agency. Some things never change.

Granted, the Skins do have a good cap guy, and the cap hit for 2019 is only 4 mil, but you can't just look at the current year.
