Wizards need to move on this IMHO.

Jones is probably better than Markieff Morris IMO.

I think Terrance Jones has NBA All Star POTENTIAL. YES I'M DOING IT AGAIN.

That's the 2nd team he's been cut from this season. Nobody seems to want him even though he puts up decent numbers (well, at least in his first couple of seasons). I wonder why?

FWIW, I like Jones coming out of college. He seems like a solid player, not sure if he's an upgrade over Morris. Who would you cut? Ochefu?

Yes. Why not cut the human victory cigar and take a flyer on Jones. Does he have a rep as a bad teammate or something?

Never heard anything about that. He keeps getting cut though.

Even if we did pick him up (which I doubt we would), wouldn't he be unavailable for the playoffs?

I like jones he's like kieff and kieff fouls out...we could've beat the clippers if we had another mobile 4 like jones to stay in front of blake

I used to like Jones and at points thought he he'd be good here running with John. However, Jones never panned-out anywhere he's been, I will call-up Keith Benson before giving Jones a shot here.

Jones first few years were pretty good. Had an injury riddled 4th year, didn't think they should have let him go down in cajun country but... meh. I would absolutely have him as a bench reserve. Hell get rid of Gortat next season and your big rotation is:

Ian/Keef
Smith/Jones

He'd be a guy I'd look into in the offseason as I suspect his contract demands would be modest, so if you could get him on a 2 year deal with a team option for the second year, you might have something there.

But, yeah, I'm not even sure that he'd be eligible to be on the Wizards playoff roster aside from the concerns about bringing in someone else at this point.

I stumbled upon this thread and just realised I completely forgot T.Jones.

He would not be available for the playoffs. March 1st is the playoff eligibility waiver deadline.

That would imply Jones is a good defender.. he's not.

I do remember stories of him being a mental lightweight at Kentucky, admittedly that as a while ago.

He's assaulted a homeless person in Portland, dismissed.

He also is a wannabe rapper, and recently recorded a song called "Stupid Rich". Many red flags.

You don't look very much like Dirk Nowitzki.

The rep on Jones is that on the floor he's a bit of a space cadet.

Watching him this specifically applies to his defensive rotations which have been consistently poor throughout his career.

He's also a tough guy to fit into your offense. He's a 6-7 left handed dominant slasher with a broken jumper. You stop him from going left and he's worthless. His shot hasn't improved one iota over his career... If anything it's gotten less reliable.

I don't think he's worth a look. Even when he was productive he didn't help his teams win games. I still remember when he played for Houston and Kevin McHale had to pull him and keep him off the floor the final two games during a playoff series because LaMarcus Aldridge made him his personal b*tch.

I liked Jones coming out of Kentucky. His first 3 years were pretty good too. Then he got injured, & he's been pretty much awful ever since. Got no idea what happened, but there is no reason at all to think he'll ever be good again.

Then again, I don't think he'd be a downgrade from Markieff who is also not a good player.
