Hey guys, I've posted this a few times in the other thread, but it's starting to gain some traction:
Please sign the petition and pass it along to family and friends. CSN needs to know how fans feel about this move.

Indu, surely you can code a bot in a few hours to add a couple thousand signatures to this petition. There's not even a CAPTCHA

Bump. The petition in the OP is almost at 800 signatures. I wish we could combine both of them.

Yeah, I can see Terd rationalizing the outcome of any replacement as a success, and smugly implying that his critics were once again impatient, reactionary, and wrong. But I'll remain open minded and wait to read what people have to say in the millie thread in support of the move that no doubt will appear any minute.

I'm late to the party, is this a personal thing or is he being fired?

He's 67....who knows maybe he just wanted to retire. However the announcement timing seemed odd.

Phil got a nice ovation at the game Saturday night.

“You know, at some point, in some kind of way, this was gonna come to an end. I’m glad it’s not because I’m dying or something,” he quipped. “It’s a company decision, and they were gracious enough to have me stay around and do some other things to stay involved. Everybody has to come to the realization that all good things must end.”
Apparently was a management decision, but sadly a petition will do nothing. Bullets just aren't popular enough, their local TV ratings are the 3rd worst in the entire league adjusted for market size. Only the Nuggets and Brooklyn fare worse.
Expect to see Buckhantz booted as soon as his contract is up as well.

I will riot if Buck is not retained. Most people don't tune in to see the announcers. If the team is winning, great. The ratings should improve next season not because of the new color analyst. How about better production? Better camera angles. No irrelevant Chris Miller interviews in the middle of the game taking away from the action from some sponsor or Arena Football League hype. Maybe a quick halftime interview with Brooks or an assistant coach instead of a player.
This team has been so poorly run that they need to the fans that they lost back or try and create new fans. Firing Phil is not the answer to that. It's having a successful run in the playoffs that will make a lot more people jump on board.

Yeah, they should fire the producer before anyone. We're constantly missing plays due to poorly timed cuts between cameras and the Chris Miller fluff interviews during the game are just intolerable. Nothing against Chris, but just because its Polish Appreciation Night doesn't mean we need a Borscht recipe slapped across the feed during a third quarter run.

I find the thread title offensive. Why introduce race into this issue?

Why they fired Phil and kept Chris Miller? His **** interviews and not funny jokes with JM are the reasons I prefer watching opposite feeds except warriors, cavs, celtics. This guy shouldn't be on TV evet

Just in case ...
A color commentator is a North American term for a sports commentator who assists the main commentator, often by filling in any time when play is not in progress. In other regions this role is variously referred to as an analyst or summariser.
