Hawks are going to keep scoring in the paint at will and they're the better defensive team.

Calderon was +29, hopefully the Wizards make him minus -20 in the next game.

Whoever gets this one gets the series. Lets go Wiz!

Now that I calmed down, gotta say that when Mahinmi got injured I predicted Wiz in 7, just deflating to lose 2 in a row but was always gonna be a tough series.

We should attack Calderon while Schroeder was in brench with 3 fauls and Jose has 2. He is old and can't defend. That's why I said it is on Brooks. We showed him mercy and he killed us. The same thing happened in Bulls series Half of 3rd q IT had 4 fouls noone attack him and he scores 9 in a row in this quarter.
Coach should recognise this kind of opportunity.

Mahami needs to play. And also Tomas should get Jennings minutes. Pack the paint and turn the Hawks into the bad offense they are. Can't just let them run a layup drill. Porter, Morris, and Gortat need a solid game.

As bad as this series has gone, I still firmly believe that if the Wiz can play up to their potential they can beat the Hawks soundly. At the same time, it is very disconcerting that the Wizards have managed to consistently make dumb mistakes game in and game out. Not sure what's worse. Being a team has a low ceiling, but maximizes their potential, or being a team that has high potential but is never able to attain it. Regardless, neither are good enough. To be a good team in the NBA, a team must be both talented and maximize their ability. Hopefully, the Wiz will get their act together in game 5. Stop chirping with the Hawks in the press. Stop complaining about the Refs. Stop complaining about the lack of respect and look inward. If we play our game, we are a top 4 team in the NBA.

What they also can do is gangster the refs.

In DC play the Hawks physically to the point of dirty. Gortat needs to tag Millsap. Kieff needs to be willing to flagrant one. Then let Jason Smith foul out in five minutes.

All of that should be subtrefuge. Beal and Wall and Otto need to be greyhounds. Bogs needs to bomb away. Force Atlanta to spend their emotions and just beat them with offense and guile. Outwork them mentally.

The trick is to pick up the pace while also playing with three times the fighting edge.

Brooks needs to go way deeper on his bench and to Coach like the late Chuck Daly. Be bad boys if it works in DC.

Oubre's confidence seems pretty down right now but since neither Morris or Smith seem to be able to effectively defend Millsap perhaps we should try to give Porter a chance to slide into the 4 and play Oubre at the 3 if Morris takes himself out of the game again.

He can't be much worse than either of those guys defensively and at least we'd have somebody to stretch the floor on the other end to keep the Hawks defense honest.

Yes, sign me up for the strategy that completely turned the season around and was one of the top 3 lineups in the entire NBA based on net rating. I think it could be a good "shot in the dark" maybe Oubre plays better with the starters......who knows.......?

IIRC, Calderon had 3 fouls. Crazy/frustrating that we were not able to take better advantage of that.
