I think it favors the Wizards with how thin we are and the discrepancy between the Hawks series and Bulls series respectively.

They had a number of blowouts with their starters only playing 27-ish minutes in the closeout game. Meanwhile, Wizards were in a knife fight, closing out with a heroic and desperate performance on the road (as well as our front court being totally overmatched and lots of wear on Gortat with all the foul trouble on the other bigs).

We can't really exhaust them with that bench, so I'll definitely take it.

Both teams could use the extra rest since the turn around from the last round was so quick.

It definitely favors the Wiz though. Wall and Beal need more rest and Gortat has had to play big minutes.

Plus the home team has been winning all season.

Much love for Gortat this game.
Bye bye Beal.

Nice postgame presser from Wall here:

Easy to get behind and he knows what's going on in the big picture.

For the first time all season (that I'm aware of) EVERY SINGLE WIZARD finished +.

Usually, the Wizards starters finish plus and their bench is way negative. Not tonight.

Turns out Ernie Grunfeld was saying STFU (last game) to all of us who complained about Bogdanovic and the bench EG has assembled.
Bye bye Beal.

The Wizards finally started what they should have been doing since game 1. Attacking Isaiah has been an effective strategy for the Mavs and the Wizards have the starting lineup to do something similar as long as Porter can be aggressive. Gortat looked like a real big man out there. It wasn't a good look in the first two games when Horford looked just as capable on the boards.

Wall actually got some help this game, even from his bench. Bogdonovic kept the lead strong with his shot creation and a bench player going off has been key to each of these games. I expect this trend to stay true the rest of the series. Not having to play Jason Smith regular minutes was nice for the Wizards too. Mahinmi was surprisingly solid for being out until recently. You'd think Wall would have a crazier statline with the way he played, he still put up a crazy good game.

Celtics were poor all around top to bottom. The Wizards defended them very well, denying even the most routine of passes. I couldn't recall one moment of the Celtics having good ball moment.

The tension flares were entertaining. Strange how the blowout was where things escalated instead of the literal bloodbath that was game 2.

Olynyk flopped when Oubre shoved him like he was taking a charge. Who the hell flops for a scuffle? Does he not have any pride?

only got to watch a small part of the game. Glad they won.

I am also glad that Oubre got tossed. It was a statement. He aint gonna take that *(#@ from them. Now they know.
Just as glad, possibly even more glad that Jennings and Rozier got tossed.
Next time, it will be Horford, or KO, or IT who will be tossed along with one of ours. Really glad they did this. Shows some toughness.

I am pleasantly surprised with McLellan and Sato giving valuable minutes. Didnt think they would see the tight of day, but they proved that they deserved it.

Given that I didnt see more than 5 mins of the game, I dont know how the refs called the game. Did the refs called the game well?

Will be interesting to see if we retain him this summer.
We don't really need him. Need abackup PG really.

He's clearly an NBA jam on fire player. Either he's complete garbage or he hits 5 3's in a row.

Question now is does Oubre get suspended

I don't see any way he doesn't get suspended.
I think it will only be 1 game though.

I dont think he will get suspended. Although this series has been played very physically, the refs (and NBA) have declared it to be fine by not issuing warnings after the fact(that we know of) for hard fouls, or even non-calls. A shove is not going to amount to anything. I expect the NBA to look at it, and do nothing. If it does amount to a suspension, then expect the next game to be called very tightly, and that will favor the Wizards.

The only difference between wall and the top 5 players in the nba...is they're involved on every play somehow...

If it's the loose ball or its a smart screen...superstars play a part in every play...Wall needs to play every game like today....
He didn't shoot as good as the fans perfect but he was every where on the floor...
Oubre was ejected but mahinmi returned..but wall played like a closer in the 3rd...if he can play like that every time the lead is in jeopardy we can challenge golden state...
Pay your beals....or its lights out!!!
Bron, Bosh, Wade is like Mike, Hakeem, barkley...3 top 5 picks from same draft
mike, hakeem and Barkley on the same team!!!!

Thats exactly what you want at the end of the bench. We also need a defensive specialist guard to round out the end of the bench.
