So
I guess barring a Boggy D signing and/or sign and trade.... This is probably our roster, thereabouts.
Great.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Maybe, maybe not. They can also sign one more 2 way player.
From the Post article, the Wizards’ case, they can add one more player like Young, develop both players during the team’s training camp in October and then assign the pair to a nearby G League affiliate, likely the Delaware 87ers, who are owned by the Philadelphia 76ers. A ‘two-way’ player can spend up to 45 days with the parent team, but that doesn’t include periods of time before the G League training camp starts and after the season ends. However if Young remains with the Wizards for more than 45 days, than his deal converts into an NBA contract.

The D League changed its name to G League after Gatorade.

Re: Wizards signed Michael Youngon two-way deal
This will make CCJ very happy -- & it does me as well.
Yes, we can sign another 2-way player. Here's hoping we do. If so, perhaps it'll be Robinson or Keene.
Note that these guys are in addition to the usual 15-man roster. They aren't part of the 15. This is 2 extra guys, & it's something new this year.
So, no, this is not our roster. In fact, we are now at 12 players with Meeks & Scott. Assuming we pick up Sheldon's option, that is 13. Once we match Otto's max offer, it'll be 14 -- which is the minimum you have to have. (Again, the 2-way players don't count in this)
We could stay at 14, but it seems unlikely that we would. We can take it to 15 by picking up either Ochefu or House. Or else by signing one of the other undrafted rookies (or someone else, I suppose) on our SL team. Or by signing some other undrafted rookie or any other FA. All the preceding would be minimum salary players; a team can sign those whether it's under or over the cap.
Of those choices, unless someone preferable pops free from another team, my choice would be whichever of Robinson or Keene was not already signed as our other 2-way player. Even better would be Christian Wood if he doesn't sign w/ someone else first (as seems likely).
Or else we could use either the full MLE or the Room Exception, but I'd say there's little chance of our doing that. Not where our salary load is sitting.

I'm pretty sure it stands for Girls League. We just need to let everyone else know. I'm also fairly confident that Gatorade named their Gatorade G because their marketing told them it was better than Gatorade Girls. A little known fact.

At this point I trust my eye.
His stats popped out and then on the video I thought yeah he can play.
He did slump toward the end of the ACC regular season. ...
FWIW, I think an experienced, better player on a summer league roster is Ike Diogu, ( who they're not going to give a chance to make the roster...) But I'm happy that the Wizards are giving Michael Young a legit chance. (I am computer challenged right now I think I diogu is on somebody's summer league roster maybe not the Wizards). That they have committed a G League spot to Young already speaks volumes....
Young and Tim Frazier are guys that I noticed in NCAA play.

Re: Wizards signed Michael Youngon two-way deal
Diogu is 34 years old & hasn't played in the NBA in many years. He's on our roster, but he is in the SL looking for a job somewhere else in the world not in the NBA.
As a 2-way player, Michael Young can only spend 45 days with the Wizards. More than that & he has to be a regular roster player, which means there'd need to be a roster move of some kind.

On the bad side he shot 8 out of 20. He had four rebounds and five fouls.
For the other team Andrew White had 37 points.

I was hoping his name was Michael Youngon...
Youngin as a name is so DC that it would have been perfect to hear Buck saying Youngin is hustling out there! But alas...mike young doesnt have that go go swing.

One of his teammates is Marc Loving. I saw Superbad yesterday. Marc Loving may be McLovin. Actually, the most interesting player on that team, imo, is Emeka Okafor - trying to get noticed at age 35. 13 rebounds and 2 blocks in 18.5 minutes.
Btw, Young also had 5 assists vs 1 to. I think he's got to show more proficiency with his 3ball to make it to the NBA.
