No problems with Kara at all
Looks like Phil will be back in the booth when Kara's duties with ESPN conflict with the Wizards schedule.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

I find her kinda bland. Not that Phil was the most energetic guys around. Meh. Shes a good college analyst, hope she has a different persona as a color commentator.

Gotta admit - this change will take some getting used to for me. But I'd take her over Drew Gooden. Drew Gooden... seriously?

If he would show up to work in 5 button box suits it might raise the entertainment value.

If she were to shave her head and wear wonderful ties, she'd look a little like Phil. There's that.

Considering they were looking at Antwan Jamison & Caron Butler I'm relieved that Lawson is the choice.

I like the pick. She knows the game and has lots to say. I liked Phil but his style was sometimes exasperating. If the team or player is stinking, at least say it before they're down by 20, even it is obvious. An analyst can have a some "edge" and still be respectful. Phil is always so hesitant to criticize.

I'm surprised Antonio Daniels put his hat in the ring for the job. I figured he was all set with the OKC gig, but perhaps he's only a part-timer there (or, perhaps he just wanted to move to a larger city).
Always remember, my friend: the world will change again. And you may have to come back through everywhere you've been.

Re: Lawson to replace Chenier as Primary Color Analyst
Hope she is actually good. Because you know she will be impossible to replace without a PR FIRESTORM. One thing for sure is that she deserves a long lease because its going to take a long time to build chemistry with Buck. Remember How bad Jalen Rose was...remember he said "white girl wasted" on Mike and Mike...thought he was done..but he survived. I'm gonna give her a good listen and unless it is as bad as Cooley...lol ill stick with it

Re: Lawson to replace Chenier as Primary Color Analyst
She was on the Junkies this morning, they didn't do their homework b/c they had no idea she actually has already called NBA games, has been on ESPN Radio calling games and did the Women's Final 4 and Championship last year. So it's not like she's being thrown into the fire, she's been doing this for awhile.

I don't know what she's like either, but I hope she works out. It's not easy filling the shoes of a legend, but having Chenier's replacement also shatter a glass ceiling lets her arrive with a certain uniqueness to add to her experience.
Jamison was dull. Drew Gooden is a colorful guy but not all that animated a speaker. I've never seen Daniels in a broadcast role but recall him as a good interview, a little hyper, with astute comments. Martell Webster seems like he would be a commentator too, more low key than Daniels.
