Wall and Beal. Wall paced us the whole way and Beal took the game over in the third. They played like stars and carried us to a win on a night when we didn't really have it. Gortat did a nice job cleaning up the garbage on the offensive glass and finishing all of those pretty dimes.

Oubre had a great game too. He was everywhere, played a really nice offensive game, and was a problem on defense. I have zero criticisms about the way he played tonight, virtually perfect three and D wing play.

This one is hard. Each of those guys played a hand down the stretch. I'll abstain.

Same problems as last year. Bench with appalling +/- and Brooks playing the bench against Philly starters for no reason at all.

Gortat and Oubre were very good today.

Gortat for me. He was immense!

Gortat was very good but I'd give it to Oubre for playing 32 minutes. Everybody seems to ignore that Kieff and now Jason Smith are out. Oubre stepped up and played most of the minutes at the 3 after Otto came out of the game late in the first quarter. His defense still needs some work in terms of positioning but the dude has a motor.

Gortat and Ourbre were the standouts to me, but i'll give it to Gortat for smacking Philly around on the boards.

My first instinct was Oubre but Gortat really was a man out there after looking a bit shaky in the first half.

17 boards (5 offensive), 3 blocks and 16 points, that's stuffing the stat sheet.

Sixers though they could get away with Amir Johnson defending Gortat and he just straight up dominated that matchup when Embiid was on the bench.

The good:

Oubre was great yesterday. Plenty of things he did, did not show up in the box score. Oubre really gave me the chills when I saw what he was capable of when making threes at an acceptable clip. Brooks had clear faith and trust in Oubre and it is evident we will see more of him in the future. Oubre was an absolute pest on defense and even started taunting Reddick and Simmons at one point. Oubre also had some highlight plays that brought out the best in the team (another thing that doesn't show up in the box score). Withth hurt (unsure of the time table) Oubre should draw the start regardless of Smith's health. Otto was the same Otto from last year. He started the game hot but he ultimately got gassed as the game went along. Gortat played well, had some botched opportunities but still converted many finishes as a roll man. Wall has to get more credit as he practically spoon fed gortat for those easy buckets.

The bad. Tim Frazier looked downright awful. He holds the ball until there's about 5 seconds left on the shot clock then makes a telegraphed pass right to a teammate. This resulted in two straight turnovers at one point.

Also take a look at this clip for a few seconds from the 1:57 mark. This is a completely unnecessary foul by Frazier and honestly bad defense.

I don't think either of the point guards did a good job guarding the perimeter yesterday. Wall and Frazier did not even contest some of Bayless' threes.

The idea that Wall & Beal could get any consideration whatever as "PotG" is mind-blowing. This game was close, & we could easily have lost. If we had, it would have been Wall/Beal who lost it for us.

Gortat & Oubre are the main reasons we won the game. H#ll, you could point to Mahinmi, who in a short stint went 3-3 & had 2 offensive boards.

Wall missed 18 shots. That is more than anyone else on either team attempted.

I went with gortat.

Gortat was a beast.

17 rebounds, 3 blocks, abused Johnson & still has the soft hands to catch & finish all those great pnr passes from Wall

Plus a few points for rocking the best Mohawk I've seen since Mr T & Riggins as a Jet.

HEY! Wtf no rocking Mohawk emoji ???

Beal shouldn't have even been in the poll. No excuse to miss four free throws in the fourth quarter. He makes 3 of 4 of those and it's likely not even a sweater.

WHat happened to Smith? I missed it

I think Wall wins it because he had a crap game but still dominated. Gortat a close second. That was vintage Gortat.

I dunno. He missed 4 free throws, but getting to the line 16 times in the 2nd half alone is a big deal. I'd give the POTG to Gortat, but I think Beal is more deserving than Wall.

Beal had a great game. Especially since he started off cold and had to grind it out until he found his range. He dominated the third quarter which is when we took back control of the game. The win was a result of a quality four man effort.
