YOUR Washington Bullets ARE 2-0!

The first western road trip of the season starts early with the Bullets in Denver tonight. We get to see our old pal Paul Millsap who should have a big game as he usually does against us. The Nuggets are coming off a blowout W over the Kings.

Denver's no joke, they're 10 deep and we're shorthanded. I think this is an L.

If we play defense like we have in the first two games, this could be a blowout. Thankfully we are starting the small ball unit again, so we will be able to switch most everything.

I didn't think Smith was gonna play today

Denver was a problem before they had Millsap, and without our designated Millsap stopper(DMS) we will be in for a long night. Interestingly, despite looking like a offensive juggernaut on paper, Denver has yet to crack 100 points in a game this season.

Good luck on your Western road trip and the Raptors are starting a 6 game road trip in the West see how both teams react. I would much rather see Washington and Toronto fight it out for 1 & 2 in the East.

This is a scary game and I think Scott should start this game, only because Otto and Oubre are too small to defend Millsap. I think he and Jokic goes for 25+ tonight but the Wiz win 5 because the Nuggets backcourt won't be able to keep up with the starters.

Looking at the Nuggets starting backcourt, why is Barton coming off the bench?

On paper that's clearly the most lopsided matchup and plays right into the Wizards strength.

Don't particularly care for our bench trying to keep Barton and Faried in check, but if the Wizards starting unit has a solid outing Washington should come away with a W.

It'll be interesting who draws Millsap as the assignment. Porter has the length to bother Millsap but physically that's a clear mismatch.

I'd imagine that on the other end Millsap will draw Oubre, so I'm hoping that Kelly will be able to keep him somewhat honest there.

I'd bet the Nuggets will be shorthanded tonight as well. They have some players currently involved in Bledsoe trade talks..

Not optimistic at all. Our defense has been terrible and no one to check Milsap. This could easily get out of hand.

I'm actually looking forward to see how Oubre is going to play Millsap. How he defends him on face-up drives from the mid-range and such will tell us a lot about whether or not we could deploy him against Giannis, as Giannis is a guy who plays very physical in getting to the basket.

Some things I'm looking for in tonight's game.

1) John Wall getting to the free-throw line. Maybe this is the year where Wall gets enough respect from the refs to be among the league leaders in free throw attempts. It's the easiest route for Wall to become a more efficient/dominant offensive player. He's averaging 10 free throw attempts per game in the first two while shooting 85%. I want to see him stay aggressive especially in road games and not settle for the jump shot.

2) Otto Porter. Although our bench is the biggest weakness, I think the team takes a step to the next level if Otto Porter becomes a consistent scorer on higher volume. He is much more then a 3-point shooter, but he needs to stay aggressive and keep taking more and more shots. I'm just intrigued by what he's capable of if he takes a higher volume of shots consistently.

3) The defense. The defense seemed really bad in the first two games. This is the first strong team we're facing and I'm curious to see how focused we are defensively. Our defense is one thing that could hold us back from being an elite team.

F that...we win this game.

We are the best team in the east and an elite team. Its time to take the next step- they got one monster on that team and we dont have a DMS...but they dont have anyone that can handle our lil-Big3. We win this one going away...

Wiz are 3 and OH after tonight.

Otto will defend Millsap and do just fine. He always defends him well. Its our lazy defense vs their scoring depth and energy that could make this turn ugly fast.

This is not a good game to be missing Markieff "Millsap Stopper" Morris.

This one will likely be tough, although basically having three days rest may help. John and Beal will need big nights I think, we just never play well in Denver I feel (which I know has nothing to do with this years team) so I'll expect a loss, be pleasantly surprised with a W.

24/9/3

That's what Millsap put up against Morris in the playoffs last year.

We should let Felix get some run off the bench he was decent in our preseason. Not like anyone else doing anything.
Wish we had snagged Jameer Nelson when he was available. maybe we should pick up K.J McDaniels? Can't shoot but he plays hard on both ends at least.
