When did you first realize the team has totally tuned you out and are actively working to get you replaced?

There's 3 possible reasons why were losing so bad.

1. The players are trying to get the coach fired.

2. We're tanking for a lottery pick.

3. We suck

I'm leaning towards #1

4. The coach sucks, plays the scheme's and plays the wrong personnel.

Exhibit A: Wall & Beal are already gassed and their defensive effort decreases in the 2nd half. Overplaying Beal and Wall is a problem now and will become a bigger problem as the season moves forward.

Exhibit B: Wall shoots too much (given his TS%) and where he shoots (still lots of mid and long-range 2s). Brooks either can't or won't do anything about this.

Exhibit C: Austin Rivers is terrible and yet continues to be played big minutes.

5. The FO sucks and we just don't have the talent.

Exhibit A: Rivers, Mahimni, Smith, Morris, Green...

Before I would consider any trades, I would fire the coach. Whittman was a much better coach for this team than Brooks. :noway:

Also a new GM is way past overdue!! Leonosis please don't embarrass the city like this!!

He is bad, and yet he’s still here. Maybe he signed a secret extension like Ernie. I actually think he was average when he got here but now the league has passed him by and the team has obviously tuned him out.

So, it's pretty clear to me that Brooks is the worst coach that the Wizards have had since I started following the team closely around 2003-2004.

Who disagrees?

For those who have been following the team for longer, how far back do you have to go to find a worse coach?

I'd take Flip over Scott, personally. I'm looking at it from the standpoint of whether the team is underperforming or outperforming the talent level of the roster. My opinion is that the talent level of the last 3 years, despite the acknowledged deficiencies, has been quite a bit better than what Flip had to work with.

Just my opinion. Am interested in what others think.

Flip at least had the respect of his players, Scott and Wittman both seem like the players dont really gaf about them

He lost the respect of player's,We hated him at the time he was coaching the wizards. He was worst then brooks in my opinion. but rip to him.

April 21st, 2016: Scott Brooks agreed to coach the Washington Wizards. The regular season ended on April 13. It's obvious he was signed only to lure "KD2DC". Of course he went to NBA finals with the Thunder in 2011-12 season but he was criticized for his rotations, bad playbook and love for veterans. And yeah, the best part: Ernie gave him a 5y/35M contract!

I don't know if he is gamma. I think he's more delta. He's a worker bee thrust into a leadership role. Ted Leonsis is probably more of a gamma.

Maybe I wouldn't have the nads to publicly challenge him but going back to the now
long past 'what to ask him at a chalk talk' question, mine would be, why would you
ever NOT use the available player who has the best FT% shoot Ts. Beal should never
be shooting FTs if Green is eligible. Our guards suck at FT (well Sato is okay)
and our fwds are typically much better. But Beal routinely gets the shot.
This should be a pure meritocracy with the only question being the time
interval over which you count their FT%. You wanna shoot Ts, be the best
on your team or step aside.
