Of course this happens after a healthy offseason. #SoWizards

So basically it's a really bad bruise.
I can dig it.
It could have been worse.

It's Fraizer/ Sato time now, hoping for more ball-sharing and improving team play. Frazier will need to shoot the ball sometimes and stop being scared to shoot.

This is good. He can finally allow that knee to rest and not let the problem linger.
He clearly was not right. I was not happy the front office let him try to play through it.
This just delays the start of WallStar mode till about mid-January.

Agreed. Better to let him sit out and get healthy rather than deal with an ailing, half-hurt John Wall all season.
Frankly, it's too bad he played the last 2 games. We probably would have won the Milwaukee game without him and we lost the Charlotte game with him. We could have had the same record but with Wall already having rested for 8 days.

I disagree only for the fact of that awesome 2nd half he just had in Charlotte. That will be all he remembers. His confidence will be sky high from game 1 when he comes back because of it

"Approximately two weeks" usually means a little more than two weeks, doesn't it? So, if Wall is out until, lets say 12/15, he'll miss ten games, of which 7 are on the road.
Right now, we're tied with the Knicks for #8 in the EC. It'll be a miracle if we are still in that spot when he returns. The six teams ahead of us are pretty much certain to increase their distance from us, given their schedules. The Knicks are not a concern (12 of their 18 games have been at home), but Milwaukee and/or Miami are.

Then again, John Wall may be out for two weeks, but Kyrie is out...
...of his mind!

I’ve had PRP, no way it’s two weeks. He’s back in January.....maybe. Another mri will be needed, then it’s rest him until the new year.
And that’s a good call considering his contract.
Injection site is very swollen after PRP. Honestly it’s a little concerning to do PRP mid season, usually offseason.
——
Patients may experience approximately two to three days of being sore and usually are prescribed pain medication. Patients need to rest for a few days or weeks after the treatment to not push the injected tissue too quickly. Typically, pain relief starts to occur within three to four weeks and continues to improve over a period of three to six months following an injection. The recovery time frame varies depending on what we are treating. Sometimes arthritic joints respond much faster to these injections than a patient being treated for tendonitis.

Yeah, looks like John is out way longer than 2 weeks.

I mean, we're .500 the last 5 years.
We were Bad in 2012-13. Otto and Beal are better than everybody on that team.

Did it work for you? I had on elbow and did not play tennis for 6 weeks (not comparing my old man recovery to elite athlete). 7 months out and still good, though maybe taking the time off was what helped not the PRP. Insurance even covered most of it, as opposed to cortisone shot which Dr. did not want to do and was not covered.

Two weeks is wizards code for two months. Time for other guys to step up.
It's also time for Sato to prove he is a legit NBA player. I am doubtful.

Wall, 27, will miss his 12th game of the season. He had platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment and viscosupplementation injections in his left knee on Nov. 25. He did not return until Dec. 13, but has since played in 21 straight games.
