Every time Brooks plays Beal as PG we lose all momentum. He keeps doing it for some reason in spite of awful results. He’s not a fuc*ing PG.

The Beal at PG lineup wasn't all that bad. It was -3 over 10 minutes.

I'm not saying it was the ideal lineup or anything, just that it wasn't really the reason we lost.

That six-minute drought late in the fourth quarter when nobody scored? Meeks was horrible tonight. In fact, he's hasn't been that good this year and teams are not leaving him open or 3s. They know he can shoot. Wer'e up by 1 for an hour before Beal turns it over and Brooks finally puts a point guard in the game. I just don't get the same old crap over and over. But I guess it won't matter now that Wall is back.

Beal sucked but so did nearly everyone else. Otto's a max player? Scott needed to be out there the last five mins since he's the only player that can score.

Brooks is terrible and it's seriously time to consider a new coach. Consistently losing to bad teams is a sign of coaching.

I don't want to keep piling on Beal, but his missed free throws in the 4th quarter are really starting to add up. If he's going to iso so much in the 4th he has to be able to make free throws.

bigger problem is Brooks stunting Oubre's development because he doesn't have the balls to bench Keef. Rightfully so, the guy chokes his teammate and shot an old lady with a BB gun in college.

Wow Nate, Did you watch the game? It was ok at the end of the 2nd quarter but we had the six-minute drought in the fourth quarter. Beal came in around the six-minute mark so maybe the drought was four+ minutes with him at point guard. There was zero ball movement and the pivotal play with Beal throwing it away and the Nets scoring on the other end. Not saying defense or lack of hustle (until late) wasn't big but that Beal/Meeks lineup in the backcourt is crap.

entire starting 5 was double digit minuses. entire bench was plus. Satoransky and Meeks were +29, Frazier and Beal were -29

So Ted's not going to pay the luxury tax for this team. Some move is coming. Even if Kieff and John get healthy not sure how anyone thinks this team gets to ECF's.

I've never heard of the Nets coach, but am impressed how they play.

I think we got a feel for what our team would look like if Beal was relied on for heavy volume scoring every night. He wasn't able to maintain his efficiency and essentially became an unpredictably streaky volume scorer. No more mystery there.

I don’t want to hear one more word about EG. Not one. There are 10 coaches in this league that would have this team winning 60 games.

The fact that we have Frazier, Sato, Oubre, and Scott all playing good basketball should be enough to win in complement to our starters.

Brooks is Not a good coach and basically done with him. He’s done nothing in his career worth a damn.

That doesn't matter as long as Oubre ends the game. He played well tonight. I don't know what the off the court stuff has to do with anything. He's not the only one with issues. Maybe he's grown up to an extent since he had a kid.

seriously, a good handful of coaches would have this team in the top 3 seeds in the east. it's truly pathetic how many games they have dropped to lesser teams. Brooks brings absolutely nothing to the table. His star players dont do the little things or play hard because he doesn't have the balls to call them out (players coach lol), his rotation and personnel decisions are bizarre, truly mind boggling stuff, in terms of Xs and Os, he might be the worst in the entire league.

I mean what? we play ISO take turns offense and lazily switch everything on defense every play, what scheme is that?

you're telling me Randy Wittman couldn't lead this roster to a 14-13 record with this schedule after 27games? and I hated Randy and wanted him fired.

Sato left with 6:17 to go in the 4th. The score was 91-92, Wiz down 1. Sato came back in with 2:07 to go and the score was 95-97, Wiz down 2.

I'm not trying to defend Brooks. I like the team more with Sato too. But the narrative seems to be that everything went to hell with Beal at point. That's not really the case. It was... okay... with Beal at the point. Also, Sato had played 11 minutes from the middle of the 3rd to the middle of the 4th. It's not unreasonable to give him a short break.

The interesting thing to me is that Brooks had no confidence in Frazier.

Nate that doesn't count the free throw that came after Sato came back in (from the lazy foul by Beal)

that stretch was horrendous.

Yeah. I counted that. It was actually 95-96 when Sato re-entered the game but I didn't charge him for that 2nd free throw made by the Nets after he entered.
