I guess that's not the worst-case scenario? But if it's 6 weeks, then it's 8 weeks. Don't expect any trades now to help the team unless they are getting rid of a bad contract. Please hold onto the first-round pick and don't trade one for an expiring contract.

Didn't Ted just change the medical staff?

I know Beal will, but Otto needs to step up BIG now.

I say sit him out for the season, if he comes back itll be right around the start of the playoffs just stop this bleeding of this season or see if Beal takes the step and leads us the remainder of the season

The playoffs are not a given now. They weren't before when he was sort of healthy.

Holy hell, if Ernie trades their first round pick this year then I'm going to absolutely lose my ****.

Really happy about this. Let him get right even if he's out for the year. And beyond that this is such a great opportunity to be able to analyze the play of the team without him --particularly the defense, ball movement, and second option Porter.

Very excited actually

Well we'll see tonight. According to ESPN Stats & Info, the Wizards net efficiency with him on the court this season is the equivalent to Boston (4th best in the NBA). Without him, Washington would be 22nd right behind the Knicks.

Realistically I can see .500 the rest of the way. I could see us drop to 7th or even 8th. Not sure how good the Pistons will be with the Blake Show and Reggie Jackson returning shortly. If they start winning again like in the first quarter of the season, it could be no playoffs. Maybe that's the best for this franchise instead of finishing 7th or 8th. We're certainly an Otto injury of doing that.

This knee issue explains a whole lot, especially the mental funk that Wallstar has been in. Let's get this knee taken care of NOW so that John and the Zards can hopefully get back in the groove we expect from them.

Yes, Beal and Otto have to step up, but the key guy may very well be Meeks, who has stunk up the place thus far. Not only will the Zards need more scoring from the guard position than we're likely to get from Sato and Frazier, maybe more importantly we need to make sure we don't put so much on BB that he ends up injured as well.

It will be interesting.

John's personal numbers are very averagish IMO considering his efficiency is bad this season. I don't think we will quite plummet although we are playing against the thunder and Raptors, which are two tough outs even WITH Wall. If they can play .500 ball till the break then hopefully they won't feel compelled to auction off a 1st.

Get better Wall.

It definitely explains that lack of explosion he's had going to the basket, finishing and maybe relying too much on that mid-range shot because he's worried about the knees. Not sure about the defensive end as far as effort and standing around goes. But one thing is certain, he's not getting any younger and those knees are always going to be a problem. He's going to need to play less minutes from here on and learn to trust his teammates more.

I'm wondering if this was from over-training from having a full summer of working out.

Tyreke if they have to. I'd rather they sign a combo guard from the G-league first on a 10 day contract.

Hell maybe even consider Ty Lawson when his season is over in China.

I would rather keep the pick since both are free agents this offseason.
