Guys that are afraid that Sato would lose time if they get somebody like Lawson must be loving this pickup.

I guess they got him in a "break glass in case of emergency" role. It probably makes sense. They still should add a G Leaguer like Christian Wood.

This doesn't rule out the Zards going after Lawson. Lawson was not going to be available until March and this is just a 10-day contract.

I know it's 10 days but it's not a thrilling pickup. He was terrible in New York this year but hey, maybe he helps the locker room. To me, it just shows that the Wiz are all about saving as much as money as they can instead of winning. Might as well take that bum Brandon Jennings again. Why not grab Weber and if you want to hold out for Lawson, fine. Take a chance on him.

Just a break in case of emergency situation. Probably will get 20 days and then left to walk.

Man. This is one seriously inspired move. Go 'Stache. You rock.

They had no choice but to add a player as their 14th guy. But there are many other more inspired options.

Lawson was down right nausea inducing in 15-16. His post season with Indiana in a series that was close---it was some of the worst ball I've ever seen, easily Maynor tier.
I know he rebounded for a bad Kings team, but I wouldn't touch him. Ideally I'd be going for a combo guard with some size that might be able to play the backup two for us next year on a minimum. Assuming we don't draft a guard--I think that player might be Nik Stauskas next year.

The hope is that Lawson is clean and he's young enough where he may still have something left, especially speed and looks like he's in shape from his photos from China. Believe me, I'd rather get a 2 but this organization is stuck on a backup 1.
Stauskas might be cheap next season.

You know Sessions gave us some quality minutes, but what's the likelihood of Grunfeld getting lucky twice?
Sessions has just been so awful since he earned himself some of that retirement cash.
