Friends got me tickets to this game back at Christmas. It's finally here, and so pumped after that huge road win at Cleveland.

This is the big one from an emotional standpoint. Would be a huge disappointment to lose to the hornets at home after upsetting the Cavs on the road.

Of course they're going to lose this game. Won't even be disappointed, I expect them to drop a game like this on b2b (Hornets are also b2b too , granted)

It’s hard for me to understand why the Hornets don’t have a better record. On paper their lineup is good and I’ve always thought of Clifford as a good coach.

I feel good about this one. I think the Wizards will show up and play hard. That doesn't mean they're sure to win because the Wizards could be ice cold or the Hornets could be red hot, but I expect a good effort.

We know that Dwight will destroy Gortat, so maybe we should just start Ian. It's basically tanking to do anything else.

How did Gortat do so well against Dwight in the playoffs?

It was basically the fact that Dwight didn't play much because Millsap was absolutely killing us at the 5

And if you take out Kyrie's half-decent 8/16 effort, the opposition in the 9 other games is shooting 16/59. That's 27%!

Clifford missed some time due to health reasons and they were not playing well. He came back that game when they throttled the Wizards.

It really feels like Beal misses his first 2 or 3 shots every single game. He never comes out hot.

Batum being out really hurt them. He is one of those jack-of-all-trades guys who fixes a lot of weaknesses. He's kind of like Porter in that regard.

its cause he starts at about 70% game speed. takes him awhile to get his competitiveness going

when you come out hitting the front of the rim on the 2nd night of a b2b, you know it's going to be a long game

Weird game. I feel like the Wizards are playing pretty well but they're getting killed.
