In their last game, Washington lost by 27 points to Miami, reminding several Wizards fans of their 47 point loss to the Utah Jazz earlier this season. Washington has not fared well in back to backs without Wall as it was their 3rd straight loss (Charlotte, Golden State, Miami) which now makes them 1-4 with Sato starting and 2-5 without Wall in back to backs. The Heat were also eager for revenge after losing a close OT battle where the Wizards were not called for a 5 second violation and Wade missed a close basket. Even without Whiteside, the Wizards were still managed to give up 100 points before the 3rd quarter ended.
The Wizards go on to to play the Minnesota Timberbulls who are also without an all-star player Jimmy Butler. Minnesota should not be taken lightly as they managed to eek out a close win against the Curry-less Warriors and also have revenge on their mind after losing a close battle to the Wizards earlier this season. Otto Porter hit a clutch shot down the stretch and Ian Mahinmi did a good job slowing down KAT. There are quite a few former Bulls including coach Thibs, Taj Gibson, Jamal Crawford, and recently signed Derrick Rose. Bjelinca who had a career high 30 points and 12 rebounds in a loss to the Celtics last Thursday, will play the team that drafted him on draft night, who was part of the Wizards package to acquire Trevor Booker.
The key for this game will be to slow down Karl Anthony Towns, and to continue to move the ball to create quality shots so that everyone eats. Hopefully Otto Porter continues to be more aggressive. The Wizards come into the game only 1/2 a game behind the Cavaliers for the 4th seed and look to improve their 19-14 record at home, the only above .500 team that has a worse record at home is the Pelicans.
Here are the highlights from the last time the Wizards beat the Wolves.

Meeks and Otto were hitting 3s in the game in Minnesota.
Sato was very good and edged out Frazier in minutes.
Beal had a pretty bad game. It was nice to see him pass it to Otto for the go-ahead shot that ended up being the game winner.
This is another team that Wall will have not played against in 2017-2018. It's crazy how the season is almost over.

Not to ask the most obvious question -- & the most important one -- will Davis be back?

Do you mean Jimmy Butler? He is out until the end of March or early April

Might be a decent game to give Wall some light work in if he's due to come back soon

Hasn't practiced yet. I'd say earliest he can come back is sometime next week, perhaps vs. the Nuggets when Phil's jersey is retired.

That assist disparity is kinda telling. The wolves must play an ugly brand of basketball.

In his last 20 games, Oubre is shooting 26.9% from 3-point range.
He shot 40.5% in the 46 games before that.

Good minutes from Mahinmi, probably should have been an offensive foul against Towns on the three point play he converted.

Porter on Gibson is a terrible matchup, not sure why we're going that way.
