GT#70 Wizards vs Pacers 7PM March 17

Post#1 » by nate33 » Sat Mar 17, 2018 2:23 pm

This is the most important game of the season. It has huge tiebreaker implications and could decide whether the Wizards have homecourt advantage in the first round.

The Wizards have really struggled lately, having played only one good game in the past 8 (the blowout win against New Orleans). Thankfully, they squeaked out wins against some injury depleted teams along the way.

Tonight, they're going to have to actually play well to win. The Pacers are rolling. They've won 6 of their last 8.

Indianapolis is a dump. The rest of Indiana is worse.

Does that mean the Wizards will win?

Wall may help get them into the 2nd round that's it. They need to get some younger studs in the paint ASAP.

Yup, we're paying a tonne of money for two useless Centers. Thanks Ernie!

Having Oubre for this game should be good defensively. Taking some of the pressure of Beal, covering Oladipo. The key matchup is Sato vs Joseph. If i remember correctly, Joseph gave Sato fits on the offensive end, meanwhile Sato didn't do much offensively to make Olapido work.

I suggested Mahinmi as a starter. So of course, Gortat starts and give up four quick points to Al Jefferson, who might get 40 tonight with Myles Turner and Sabonis out.

Sato on Dipo. He's going to need some help. Beal on Joseph. Porter and Sato really hustling. Need more from Beal and Kief.

Nice that Sato is being aggressive tonight. He's not being guarded by Dipo for some reason. Last game, Dipo defended him mostly.

Typical So Wiz play at the end of the first quarter. Meeks misses wide open 3, Oubre gets offensive rebound and for some reason throws it to Mahinmi with 5 seconds left and he throws it away. Collison hits fadeaway 27 footer over Sato. Wiz only up 5 after one quarter.

Kieff doesn't get back on defense. Shocker.

I like how the wizards are complaining about everything and giving the referees reason to dislike us and take it out on us in the 4th quarter. That’s awesome

Beal has two points and just threw the ball away which led to an easy Indiana basket.
