GT #82: Wizards @ Magic 8PM

Not sure if on any national outlets, but it should be, because the Wizards can tie the record of the only franchise NBA champion, the 1978 Bullets. It's their ship now, their command; they're in charge, they're the bosses, the head men, the top dogs, the big cheeses, the head honchos...

Can the Wizards still end up with the 6th or 7th seeds?

Yes, depends on what Milwaukee does tonight against Philly. Miami is not likely to lose to the Knicks. Of course, the Wiz have to win without Wall and probably Porter, which is no easy task.

Miami plays a full strength Raps team who wants to play Miami in round 1 and a win by Toronto would make that happen

We are more likely to be 6th or 7th than 8th but it's still up in the air

Assuming Wall plays and we win?

Washington gets the 6th seed if they win and the Bucks and Heat drop their games.

Washington gets the 7th seed if they win and either Bucks win and Heat lose, or Bucks lose and Heat win.

Assuming we win. Wall and Otto are supposedly out. A loss automatically makes us 8th. A win and a loss by either Milwaukee or Miami then we are 7th. A win for us and a loss by both Miami and Milwaukee makes us 6th

Well hoping that both the Wiz and Raptors win!
Think ideal position for the Wiz is 7th against the Celtics.
Do not want to see a Raptors and Wiz series.

Having thoughts of Vucevic dropping 40 on us...

Is there not a middle ground between playing John 40 minutes and not playing him?

Limit him to 20 minutes so that he essentially takes Session's minutes? Sit him out the first half?

I dunno, maybe the Wiz should actually care about this one given the huge difference between playing the Cs and the Raps and between being in Cleveland's bracket or not.

Such a creative franchise.

If the Bucks win tonight we might want to lose this game.

There is no might to it. We will want to. The whole league is going to be scoreboard watching and making in game changes

Why? If the Bucks win tonight they're locked into 6th. Unless of course you're talking about having to face a 3 seed Cleveland in round 2.

That's exactly what he is talking about. My #1 decision is to be on the opposite bracket of Cleveland. I'll take my chances with everyone else

Ty Lue basically said that he is playing to win but will pull LeBron after he scores 10pts for his streak. Knicks are tanking but maybe can still win without LeBron which would help if the Bucks upset Philly

My prediction is we finish 6th and play Philly

Yeah, I don't get it.

Surely playing him 20 minutes on a back to back is better than playing him damn near 40 minutes in a single game right?
