Ty Lawson signs with Wiz

Just heard from Bleacher Report and he's eligible for playoffs.

So... why keep Sessions or even sign Sessions?

In before Satoransky gets benched for no reason.

I think they signed Sessions only as insurance because Wall was still hurt. At least he'll be in shape but I don't know how he's going to give us any time with the second unit without knowing the plays or having any time to get cohesive with the team. The dude is still fast and can push the tempo but the timing is awful.

I like him better than sessions and Frazier if he can knock down the three but he likely won’t be playing.

I don't know if Oubre loses time but I guess Sato can move to the 2 and Meeks won't see any time even though he found his jumper again in the last few weeks. I just don't see Lawson playing much in the first couple of games without any practice. This move is so typical Wiz and would have made more sense a few weeks ago but I get that China wasn't letting this happen.

I think it's Oubre insurance b/c he's been so bad lately. If Oubre no shows in the playoff I think the plan is to have Sato eat his minutes and hopefully run Lawson at PG (and not Sessions or Frazier).

I agree the timing is awful and I have no idea why they picked Sessions over Lawson in the first place. It would have been nice to get Lawson in here a lot earlier.

I don't think they picked Sessions over Lawson. They just couldn't get Lawson to come over here because his team wouldn't let him out of his contract until their season was over, which I guess just happened.

This could also mean that Otto might be hurt and they would play Oubre/Sato at the 3 and backup 2 and move Lawson to the backup 1. F-ck it. Trying to figure out this team is like trying to make sense of what a catch is in the NFL.

Look at it as if we've added a point guard AND a shooting guard.

Allows Sato to play more two guard/wing and assuming Ty is still "Ty Lawson", gives us some more scoring punch off that bench.

Ty Lawson is a heck of a player. At the same time, if this costs Satoransky minutes, it's not good. But... I hope it won't. Probably keep Sessions & Frazier glued to the bench.

Yeah, I assume this affects Sessions/Frazier AND Meeks primarily.
