I'm so confused

I hate Austin Rivers. Flashy, low efficiency, seems like a donk.

Basically swapped his expiring for another expiring in Rivers. It looks like they wanted him out of the locker room that badly.

Oh and look! Bovada just released futures odds for the Wizards starting center in the 2018-19 season:

-300 Dwight Howard
+150 Ian Mahinmi
+300 Nerlens Noel
+400 Robin Lopez
+500 Nikola Vucevic
+1000 DeMarcus Cousins

I guess this solidifies the bench more. Sato-Rivers-Oubre-Scott-Mahinmi isn't the worst bench in the world, probably around the middle of the pack. We need a starting center badly now, hopefully Ernie has something planned.

They saved a million dollars, maybe two on the deal? I don't get it.

They must be very sure they are getting Noel or Dwight.

Rivers is better than Meeks atleast

I actually like this trade even though I hate to see Gortat go. Rivers can create his own scoring and the Wizards bench needed that bad. Now the team needs to sign Nerlens Noel or Dwight Howard.

Wonder who Wizards got in plans for starting Center. They not gonna start Mahinmi right?

Decent deal. Didn’t have to give up a pick. Rivers can score off the bench and Brown won’t play much unless he’s ready or better than KO. How they fit a big without getting rid of more salary is beyond me.

Eye test says that Rivers is a good defender although by defensive rating Meeks and Rivers are around the same for the past 2 seasons. Meeks win share per 48 is higher.
