Love already has a championship.

He probably wants every penny of the $$ stipulated in his contract.

The Cavs could "cut" him. Basically saying here is your money leave. But the Cavs would really just want him gone for that.

Paul Millsap remains one of the most prominent free agents on the market and has received interest from a number of teams.

The Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers are all interested in Millsap.

Didn't realize Milsap was still out there. Really wouldn't want to see him join the Nets or (even though they weren't mentioned) Lakers. He'd be wasted in Chicago, but wouldn't mind seeing him with GSW or LAC. Not sure who can offer what, though.

Lakers could use him but they only got the min and I think they are buying their last spot on rondo .

The Kings really should have held onto Delon Wright. They could have had a package of Wright + Bagley + either Barnes or Hield (preferably Hield to allow a starting backcourt of Fox/Halliburton). That would have sealed the deal (IMO).

They didn't need Thompson. Holmes/Len/Jones would have been just fine.

I'm sure that's what everyone wants!

Spurs will pay him because they waived him. I think if he signs a guaranteed contract with a NBA team this season that money is reduced from the amount Spurs owe him (I'm not sure about this).

I wanted Doumboya over Rui but he's still just so raw and probably doesn't have the fire to be a great NBA player. He was a project to begin with and Wiz would've just messed up his development and wasted another pick... at least Rui has some skillset and value in the league.

I'm proud to say I never bought the Doumboya hype.

Doumbouya may have led our draft board or was 2nd, will he be the French version of Jan Vesely, or will this become a major regret for DET?

Doumbouya strikes me as a tease and the lack of awareness is still prevelant on D

He does have legit potential but this I do not see a Pascal Siakam type work ethic. More like Kevin Seraphin to be honest. His development has ebbed and flowed over the last few years. Scouts in Europe have been disappointed by him as in their eyes, he has top pick potential.

Maybe if he goes to a franchise that keeps a fire to his ass, he might be good. But under the EG era, I have to think he'd be a good chance to bust with the lack of accountability.

I'm still on the trade down bandwagon regardless of who is at 9. I could see Ainge wanting to take a chance with Doumbouya.

I love Rui’s game post Russ....he is coming into his own.

Yes, whatever another team pays him comes off what the Spurs owe him.

Which means, obviously, that if he's signed it'll be for the minimum possible $$.

Apparently, Cleveland did that Nance trade because Nance asked for a trade.

https://www.cleveland.com/cavs/2021/08/larry-nance-jr-cleveland-will-always-be-home-for-the-nances-its-in-our-blood.html

That's gotta be the nicest worded letter ever while still admitting he asked for a trade. Instead of getting booed the next time Portland visits Cleveland, I think he'll actually get a standing O.
