Doesn't box out.
Doesn't rebound.
Doesn't play defense consistently.
Doesn't space the floor consistently.
Gets in driving lanes.
Doesn't give max effort.
Talks too much shid.
Please add on.

He should be coming off the bench. Not that Oubre deserves to start, but at least he plays with effort. Kieff is lazy as shid and needs a big kick in the pants. Too bad the coach is too much of a pansy to make a move like that.

This is only now a thread? I'll add untimely technical and flagrant fouls.

Kieff is a slightly better 3-point shooter than Jeff Green, but that's about the only thing he has over him. He needs Dwight Howard to protect him from his shi-tty rebounding and lazy D. If he can't play with Howard, he shouldn't start.

Morris currently leads the team in WS/48, ORtg and TS%. He's second on the team in PER, BPM, OBPM, DBPM and VORP. He has the highest rebounding percentage of all of our starters. Statistically, he has been our second-best player, slightly behind Beal and way ahead of everyone else.
I get hating Morris for his mediocre production these past 3 seasons, but I'm a little confused at the appearance of this thread at this particular time. Morris has never played better.

His performance in the playoffs and his first two games prompted this thread.

Yeah, kind of funny!
Morris has been outstanding. He's even rebounding! In fact, I wouldn't say Beal has been better. Or even as good. In fact, Oubre has been our 2d best player overall.
What's funny is that b/c we've only played 4 games, it was the Blazers game that put both those guys at the top of our production. That's 25% of our season so far! I mean... imagine if Oubre went 9-13 in 25% of the games this season!!
IOW... lets play a few more games before we say how anybody is doing!

C'mon now. How can you put Oubre ahead of Beal?

Beal is averaging half again as many points as Oubre with an off-the-charts ORtg. Oh, and he's averaging 7 assists/100 poss to Oubre's goose egg in the assist column. Oubre grabs a few more boards because he guards bigs more often but that doesn't make up for the massive disparity in the rest of the stat sheet. Heck, Beal has virtually no turnovers despite a USG% of 28!

Agreed. After 4 games, Beal is significantly ahead of Oubre in the ways you document.
After 3 games, otoh, it looked different -- but of course all that means is that we are at the point in the season when a single game changes all a player's overall numbers enormously.
Oubre had an outstanding game vs. Portland. & that game represented exactly 50% of his minutes up to that point. Imagine someone playing half his minutes at the level Oubre played vs. Portland.
After 4 games, Brad is playing at a level way above any previous year -- way above 2016-17, his best year. & that's despite the fact that he's fouling at an extremely high rate (like a lot of guys... b/c of the rule changes). He's shooting the same TS% but on significantly higher usage (almost 25 shots/40 minutes). Yet, his TOs are way way down as you mention.
John Wall, otoh, is not putting up good numbers at all. Overall, he's down -- & I mean down from last year, when he didn't put up good numbers at all.
&, again... this doesn't mean a thing! It's too small a sample. But, if it doesn't mean anything negative about Wall, then Beal's numbers don't mean anything positive about him!

I am pretty sure it is a statistical aberration resulting from 1 incredibly good game.

The Morris trap, a few decent shooting games and people ignore just what a disaster this guy is in every other facet of the game.
Seems like a case where the numbers tell a story that's not backed up by what's happening on the floor.
Morris continues to sink this team with his inconsistent lazy effort defending and rebounding.
If anything this thread is simple 2 years too late.

It isn't even that the rest of his game is a disaster. He's actually a relatively versatile player for a PF/C. His issue is that he appears to mentally check out of games when they aren't going his way. Heck, even when they're going his way he's prone to getting angry and checking out. It's why I don't vote for him as PotG when he has a good game. I'm not going to reward him for coasting and getting frustrated 80% of the time when he finally checks in a bit the other 20% of the time. I actually think he has the talent to be a better player than he shows but doesn't have the drive to overcome the bumps in the road that invariably come with that kind of effort. Even with his anger I think he could have been a modern day Rasheed Wallace but he just checks out too often.

So, he's a good defender and rebounder and he just doesn't want to? Yeah, no.
His game outside of scoring IS a disaster, whether that's because he's mentally checking out or because of undetectable unicorn farts doesn't really matter.

He's a Cowboys fan. It doesn't make sense because
a) He's from Philadelphia
b) His twin brother is an Eagles fan.

His scoring is the same deal. I don't really see a reason to single out scoring as being consistent. It isn't. His issue isn't ability. But yeah, it really doesn't matter why. He's just... ugh...
