Pains me to admit, but Morris came through in the clutch, my PotG.

Morris

Oubre close second

Than Otto.

Though it would take a week and a half to get one of these threads.

Me. Delusional people who are really not the most grounded may profess...

Just kidding

Oubre?

Brooks for taking his head out of his ass?

Morris, then Oubre. They both kept us in the game.
Morris was killing it from 3pt land.
I saw some things from Oubre that I really like.

We'd have to see real change. Lets see him put that lineup in more often than not, then we can say his head is out.

Statistically, you have to give it to either Morris or Oubre. But I wanted to give a shout out to Bradley Beal who I thought had an excellent game other than the awful cold streak in the 3rd quarter. It wasn't just the 25 points and the game-tying 3 pointer. He was rebounding, making the right pass, and D-ing up. He shut down McCullum and played some real nice help defense as well, taking two charges.

But the POTG has to be Morris for the clutch shooting from deep. I'm also really happy for Oubre for breaking out of the slump. If we can have this Oubre every night, we're going to be a force to be reckoned with.

It's interesting how many are listing Morris as the player of the game, presumably for his OT scoring...

But he shouldn't have even been on the floor for OT.

The close up vid released this morning of him grabbing Curry's shorts on the last Blazer possession of regulation, while Morris was on the bench, is beyond bush league, and should have resulted in an ejection.

I voted for Beal anyway though I see I'm alone on that one. Yeah, I get it, he wasn't as statistically brilliant, but guys who take several games off and then pop in aren't getting votes from me just yet. Beal has been rock solid and was the reason the game was even close in the first place. Yeah, Oubre and Morris got their shots to fall and looked more interested in the game because of it, but I'm voting for the guy who put it on the line all the time, hot or cold.

Yes it was bush league, but let's not act like that incident had any bearing on the game. Curry didn't touch the ball on the play.

Morris should be fined though. It would have been seriously messed up if that incident ultimately caused Portland to lose the game.

Seeing as Morris led the OT scoring, and probably should have been ejected ... it certainly affected the outcome.

Don't be obtuse. Morris messing with Curry had no effect on that play.

Fined for sure. Suspension...meh not likely. Bonehead move, but he's our bonehead. Take your whiny ass back to the General Board.

The only people who should be salty are Portland fans. Getting burned by Morris two years in a row.

I voted for Morris, but he sure doesn't make it easy to root for him. Frankly, if I wasn't a fan of the team, this Wizards team as a whole would be very easy to root against - aside from Porter and Sato.

I'd put Beal in that group with Porter and Sato. Beal plays hard, doesn't whine or showboat too much, and has a skill game that is aesthetically pleasing to watch. He's not quite as good of a shooter as his reputation, and he's not a very good isolation scorer, but that's no reason not to like him.

Beal really is an outstanding two-way player as long as Wall is around to draw some of the defense's attention. He's just not a top tier alpha scorer who can carry a team even when the defense focuses on him.
