GT #10: Wizards @ Mavericks 8:30 PM (NBCSW/1500 AM)

YOUR Washington Bullets showed some life on Sunday with their win over the Knicks. Yes, it is the Knicks but the defensive effort was excellent in keeping NYK under 100 points. The Wiz are still off to a terrible start and Brooks remains Austin Rivers' lover for some odd reason.

TONIGHT, your Wiz are in Dallas. Yes, the same Dallas where they haven't won at in FOREVER. The same Dallas team coached by Rick Carlisle who outcoaches any Washington coach in every matchup. The Mavs haven't played since Friday and they took an L to the Knicks. Luka Doncic is having a pretty good rookie season so far. Though Mavs fans aren't happy about Wes Matthews and aren't sure if Dennis Smith Jr. is gonna be THE GUY at PG. Harrison Barnes and Deandre Jordan are the big fish lured in FA the last couple years. Dirk Nowitzki is still around and will be making his season debut perhaps next month in his 21st season. But luckily for the Wiz, they won't be facing the big German who even in his advanced age will torch this team.

This is looking like a sure-fire L. Anyone else beg to differ?

I'll take this opportunity to remind everyone that Dallas is the Wizards' Daddy. They own the Wizards more than any other team in the league. To put it simply, it is a metaphysical impossibility for the Wizards to win this game.

The Wizards have lost 15 of their last 16 games to Dallas.

What's remarkable is that this losing streak has taken place while Dallas hasn't been very good. Since their championship season in 2010-11, the Mavericks are 277-290 for a winning percentage of .488. They lost more games than they won overall, but in that same stretch, they're 13-1 against the Wizards. Embarrassing.

Ric Carlisle just laughs at the Wizards. He knows exactly what they're gonna do and he exploits it relentlessly. He could coach a decent high school team to defeat the Wizards. If any of you are into gambling, put all your money on Dallas. It's a lock.

The loss is obviously a lock, but I think a more interesting proposition would be picking who is going to be the Wizards killer tonight?

My money is on Wesley Matthews, look for him to be left wide open multiple times and will hit at LEAST 4 threes.

Are you factoring that his 2 most talented players are 19 and 20 - and that DAJ is a dinosaur in today's NBA?

While that is true, he also plays Matthews excessive minutes and draws plays where he's a slasher and playmaker, 2 things he cant even do on an average level. He really isnt very good at developing young guys as well

This might be a rough one. I don't think out record vs Dallas has been good over the years especially in Dallas. Since the Wizards changed from the Bullets to the Wizards the Mavericks have taken 30/39 of the games between the two. Ouch!

We’re the worst coached team in the league by far..

Wall beal and porter could all be all nba caliber 20pt per game scorers if we ran some type of schemes Or plays or even moved at all off ball before a shot goes up...
