YOUR WASHINGTON BULLETS are 22-30 and nearly in full tank mode

Monday night, they face the tanking ATL Hawks. It is imperative the Wiz drop this game.

This is the big one, folks. If we lose this one, we will be 10 games under .500 after the Bucks game (assuming we lose that one). That significantly increases the chances we do the thing that cannot be named (by Ted or Beal), and make smart trades to get under the lux tax and maybe pick up some assets for Ariza and Green.

Nevermind, Ernie is still GM.

Yeah, I'm thinking this could be a big one too. Our guys need to step up in the clutch and deliver a critical loss when we need it most. Dig deep guys!

A loss here would 3 games out of the playoffs with only 29 games to go. It would also be the 2nd consecutive loss to a really terrible team (we lost to Cleveland on Jan 29th). Assuming they lose the following game in Milwaukee, it'll be a demoralizing 3-game losing streak and 5 losses out of the last 6 games just when they needed to start winning.

Looking for Otto to sit out as sign they are listening to trade offers. Winning this one will hurt.

What is this guy talking about? John Collins is nothing like Steve Nash... & I sure can't see any similarities between Young and Amar'e Stoudamire!

Wondering why he'd compare 2 young Hawks to 2 players knows for playing for Phoenix, and they really aren't very similar, but hey, to each his own.

This game is for the future of the team. If they lose, Grunfeld may finally see his demise. The core gets broken up. The team jockeys for lotto balls, despite Turd's public declaration. If they win, well...the opposite happens. Grunfailed gets another secret extension, and they go all-in for the 8th seed.

Trae's fave player growing up was Nash and he has acknowledged modeling his game after the Canadian sensation.

Collins is just a high flying, high scoring, no-defense playing big completely dependent on his star PG to get him easy buckets.

It's a comparison that Hawk fans have oddly embraced.

Young Hawks have been playing well of late, but this is our 7th straight game on the road and our 3rd game in 4 nights...traveling from Utah, to Phx to get here.

You guys should have a clear advantage tonight.

Meh, I'd say Collins - now that he makes 3's - helps his PG as much as his PG helps him. And Young ain't exactly a defensive Wiz himself. With the 2 of them there, that's a very bad defensive team. Defense wasn't a strong suit of Nash's either, but he was remarkable efficient. Trae is going to have to cut down on the shot-chucking to be more like Nash. Then again, he's very young, and it took Nash a few seasons and a change of coaches to become a great player.

You ain't wrong. Fun fact. Trae has been spectacularly productive and efficient of late.

The comp I really don't get is Huerter to Klay Thompson. I mean... yes Huerter has GREAT shooting range and has a base for some solid skills and is 6'7, but... he's sooooooooo far away from being anywhere near as good as Thompson. For every Klay Thompson, there are 20 6'7 guys who shoot great who don't become Klay Thompson. I'm looking at the Bucks forum, and there are several posters that rave about him saying the Bucks blew it by not picking him. He's a shooter with a 9.7 PER. Granted, he's a rookie, and he'll get better, but I doubt he's anything special before he becomes a free agent.

Those comps have been floating around since before the draft.

Huerter is gonna be good. But I agree the Klay comps are clearly wishful thinking.

We hope he becomes as good as Klay as a shooter. But what has surprised most Hawks fans about Huerter is his defense, ability to put the ball on the floor and make a play for himself or teammate, his passing and general bball IQ.

Porter just doesn't make his shots now. It's really been a while since we seen him be himself
