ducler has been an excellent tank commander. Keep it up, buddy!

BTW, the Wizards have no chance of beating Brooklyn. They're the exact type of team that destroys the Wizards. They play hard, they pay attention to detail, and they don't play lazy defense.

The Wizards beat them once this year, but it took Wall scoring 30 points to do it. Without "good Wall", they just don't have the talent to compensate for what is sure to be a gap in execution.

Damn. This might be the most bombed out game thread I’ve seen.

Everyone's checked out. Not a great night for the tank.

Did anybody watch?

It looks like the Wizards won by actually outrebounding the opponent. What a novel idea!

Was a crazy win. Don’t understand why Beal played so many minutes.

I fast forwarded through certain parts and watched certain parts.

It was one of those five or so games per year where things were just clicking. Parker seemed to find another gear. Bryant was all over the place. Beal was silky smooth. The players looked like they were enjoying playing with each other. Heck, even Wes Johnson didn’t suck.

Hard to understand why this kind of effort (as opposed to result) isn’t more consistent.

I watched the 1st 3 quarters - Bryant really stood out as the best player in the game and played maybe 20 minutes. He made 4 "and 1's" that I saw. It's become clear to me that the team HAS to re-sign him - moreso than Sato - who I love to watch - but Sato's 6 or so years older, so we know what his ceiling is. Bryant's already good and should be one of the building blocks of the organization.

Why not try Bryant and Portis together against teams that don't have bigs that are great 3 point shooters? It's not like the Wiz have a real PF. Green doesn't rebound at all and isn't much of an interior defender.

I watched a replay, it was a great game. Not just because it as a blowout.

Understood we need to lose every game, but wow they had really great chemistry. Bryant/Ariza/Portis played extremely hard. Satoransky was playing pretty poorly, but I was even impressed with Parker. The guy has legitimate PG skills and vision for his size, his talent is amazing sadly he just seems unmotivated/out of shape at times (I’d happily take him back at a 6th man). But it’s almost as if he wants to a a point forward. His passing skills/rapid delivery are incredible.

I haven’t been able to watch much as of late, but happy I was able to see this one.

Wizards desperately need to resign Bryant, that kid is improving every week in a variety of ways. Satoransky I like, but if someone offers him 15M let him walk. Can’t teach speed unfortunately.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Aside from the tank, that was a good win. After falling behind 10-0, the Wizards eventually took the lead in the 1st quarter. The Wizards had something like 24 assists on their first 28 buckets. They outrebounded the Nets and turned them over. The Wizards also didn't have a great shooting night from 3.

In regards to Beal playing a lot of minutes, I feel like he was in partly due to the fact that he wanted to put up a big game. He averaged over 30 ppg for the month, the last player to do so was Gilbert Arenas. While Bryant was great by getting at least 4 potential 3 point plays, Beal looked like the best player on the floor who garnered most of the defensive attention. I think Beal could get to an elite level offensively if he keeps knocking down his free throws and knocking down his 3s and a big clip like he did during his rookie contract.

Bryant made a lefty hook in heavy traffic that made me nod like a jazz musician at a perfect riff in groove. That was a grown up play. He's gonna be good.

This is a funny thread -- & that was a funny game.

We outrebounded them by a ton, we got a zillion offensive boards, & we made our FTs at a .831 clip. All this after we started the game by going more than 3 minutes without scoring.

It was fun to watch Jabari "Wild Man" Parker. & of course it's great to see Brown get a real stretch of minutes & play well.

I wonder what Sam Dekker did to get himself into Brooks' doghouse?

I think it took Troy Brown 2 minutes on the floor to surpass the 2 points Wes Johnson managed to score in the 50 minutes before tonights game.

Awful win, but good to see Bryant be effective against a tough match up.

He does so many things well that it's tough not to fall in love with his potential, but his rebounding definitely needs some help.

If you can pair him with a rebounding madman at the four, he'd be a reasonable option at the 5 even with his questionable production grabbing balls from the rim.

One of the shots he made was an 18 footer with a hand in front of his face. I don't see anything real wrong with his shooting form, tbh. He made some nice passes and a couple impressive defensive stops. He took a couple of bad off-balanced shots, but I think it's just a matter of him getting more playing time and experience - he's going to be a very solid all-around player.

What a blessing it would be if he's finally rectified that aspect of his game. He's always been really frustrating to watch brick a quarter of his free throws.
