Well, this changes everything. Just as important as firing Ernie is who will replace him. There's also a good chance that this might be indicative of an overall rebuild.

Great! Just saying I think I was the first to say Tommy Sheppard would be our next GM. Hopefully his job is temporary and we go after a guy like Zarren.

I am quite surprised that Ted didn't let Ernie resign or retire or something... i.e. to save face. & maybe that's still the way it'll go down.
