Could someone please explain why?

Wall is injured and out. Why wouldn’t that qualify?

A bigger question is why this thread is still a "sticky" when the offseason is over. :noway: :)

I think that Wall is "out" for the year because the Wizards want him to be. They want to tank and get 80% of his salary back on the insurance policy but could he play in February? Probably. His isn't necessarily a 14-month injury anymore with all the rehab and technology.

According to Chase Hughes, he said the typical recovery time is "11 to 15 months" and said the Wiz need to prove that he would be out until last June 2020 receive the exception, which would have been 16 months. Kind of sketchy I guess by the NBA but who were we really going to pick up for the DPE at $9 million? Ultimately, we are going to try to dump salary and one-year guys to accumulate picks.
