Justin Robinson, a 4-year player for Virginia Tech was nabbed by new GM, Tommy Sheppard right after the 2019 draft. Apparently, his agent had interest from other teams who wanted to pick him in R2 but were convinced to lay off, because he wanted to play for the Wizards & a deal for a post-draft FA contract was in the offing (though why someone who wanted him wouldn't pick him anyway, I have no idea -- makes no sense to me).
Robinson moved forward some into -- or at least towards -- the limelight today, when it was announced that IT has suffered a thumb injury & will be out for 6 weeks. This would seem to make it likely that we'll see Justin Robinson on the court for the Wizards quite early in his career.
