To give some context, the height is without shoes. Beal is kind of surprising at 6-3, but 6-3 without shoes isn't that bad. Glancing at some old combine measurements, shoes add anywhere from 1.25 inches to 1.75 inches, with 1.5 inches being the median. John Wall being measured at 6'4 means that he's 6'5, at least in shoes. Rui being measured at 6'8 means that he's actually 6'9 in shoes. Davis Bertans measuring at 6-10, means he's actually 6'11 which is pretty impressive.

All in all, I'm pleased. Doesn't really change anything, but mentally speaking Rui being 6'9+ in shoes seems a lot more imposing.

Bertans and McRae are an inch taller than I would have expected. Even though I figured Bonga was that tall, that still stands out, and even though he's still thin - he has gotten stronger. I'd still cut him, because he's so far away, but if he keeps at it, he's got an NBA future. Everyone else is what I'd expect - including Beal.

I remember a summer or two after Beal was drafted, he said in an interview that he has grown a bit and is now 6-5 (in shoes, presumably). I really thought he'd measure out to be at least 6-4. He measured 6-3.25 at the Combine in 2012 so he either shrank or they're rounding to the nearest full number.

It's good to see that Troy Brown is a legit 6-6. He seems a bit shorter than that.

FWIW, Brown measured 6-5.75 no shoes at the Combine; Wagner measured 6-10.5 and Bryant was 6-9.75. They could have grown a little bit, or they're just rounding up.

I thought we were going to get the heights of the Wizards' officials - you know, Ted & Tommy & Dean Oliver. All those guys.

NBA just needs to go metric. What's the point of insisting on official measurements and then rounding heights because the imperial system is so imprecise.

Without Hands or STD around, what's the point?

I expected Beal would be 6'4" and taller than Wall. I am going to take a closer look at Beal's elevator shoes next game.

Just assume they are all 5'8 and unable to dunk. Now, if you want to measure their brains and post it, go for it!
