Rui takes a charge from Embiid. Showing good weakside help.

I really don't like these coach's challenges, except perhaps in the last 2 minutes.

Bonga's game kinda reminds me of Sato's during his first year here (when he was reluctant to shoot). He'll pass, rebound and defend, but has no interest in shooting. But as long as he keeps the ball moving quickly, it seems to work out.

The second unit can't get a rebound. I guess we're going to have to get used to this.

Even when they don't make the shot, Washington's ball movement is incredible compared to past teams. They really look like they enjoy playing with each other.

It's really impressive for such a young team.

Philly made Wagner look like a superstar-in-the-making. They're now getting **** by Pasecniks. I know it's pre-season, but lordy, are they even trying?

It's going to be the most entertaining feel-good sucky Wizards team to take the court since....since....since? I got nothing.

It seems like any random tall white guy that Sheppard acquires turns out to be a scoring phenom!

Yeah but what would be better for the team. Having two basically IR locked in dead bodies in Ian and miles or a young Justin Anderson and jamario jones. Ok sure that's 24 mill in bassically a trade chip to use in deals. but one of them should have been kept for miles I personally think chioza should have been cut and sent to the gogos with booth. Then you cut miles or IT and move on.

Illmatic12 wrote:I’ll say this - if we’re thinking longterm , then getting minutes to Bonga should take precedent (I do wish we had Anderson on the roster instead of one of the extra point guards , however)

Bonga has a nice physical profile and he looks more competent every game. He’s a smart, unselfish player and there could be something there.

Anderson and Jemerrio will probably be available next summer if we really wanted to bring them back. We’ll see .

Are we talkin' 'bout Pasečņiks? Cause I feel like we already had the Latvian Lazer and now we added the Latvian Error. Maybe his happy feet issue is just an 'it's my first game' thing, but I'm not painting a mural just yet.

Jaylen Jones, OTOH, looks pretty fluid given the size of his frame. I have some hope for him from what I've seen thus far.

Every time I see Garrison Matthews, I come away impressed. That guy has all the tools to make it in this league. He probably needs a year of seasoning to figure things out on defense, but offensively, he's solid. He's got size, athleticism, and he can shoot with a real quick release.

Bear in mind I made that post after his first 2 minutes of action when he had a nice bucket and then took right at Embiid to draw a foul.

Since then, he's been a dumpster fire.

Imo the only way I can be happy with pasecniks is if we cut ian for him.we did not do that. Jamario jones would probably out rebound both by a mile. I don't care for jaylan Jones either but he might grow on me. I'm just annoyed we cut Justin Anderson and jamario jones to to pick up two randos when we could have cut dead weight in Ian miles and It to pick up the same randos

Yeah, that's understood  - I'll be halfway through a post in a game thread and events entirely undercut whatever point I was trying to make to where I just delete the thing. Things move fast over the course of 48 minutes.
