President Trump told two senior Russian officials in a 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election because the United States did the same in other countries

priority goes:

1) killing* babies**
2) snatching backpacks
3) border control
4) amorphous amalgamation of hilary crimes (uranium one, benghazi, pizzagate)
...
2524) hate crimes
5294839) corporate corruption
n) trump crimes

so, take a number but don't hold your breath.

*not killing
**not babies

For me Warren took a significant hit. My sister who used to work in the Massachusetts state government did seem to imply that Warren was not genuine in some ways and it showed in this debate.

While I think negative attacks can be done effectively, implying Sanders said something where they were the only 2 people were in the meeting seems ineffective, especially since Sanders did draft her to run in 2015.

Warren also a few moments later couldn't even admit she was wrong about asserting that she was the only candidate to beat an incumbent 30 years ago, given that Sanders did it technically in 1990.

She also did attack Sanders for not approving of the trade deal. Although typically it is standard to be against a trade deal, given that the upcoming president can negotiate a better one theoretically. The democrats did not pass a trade deal in the year prior to Bush leaving office, since they thought Obama would negotiate a better trade deal. Although maybe this attack was more effective politically.

Agreed - the "fight" with Sanders hurts her and might even help Sanders. Sanders is much more believable on this - he'd have no reason to have said that. And her whining to him after the debate saying he called her a liar on tv sounds so weak for a presidential candidate.

I already thought she lost with her forgiveness of tuition debt up to $50,000 per person. It's not reasonable or affordable. At least cut it to $25,000.

They are both being hurt... talked with a couple of folks from the Warren (Austin) office. They are now never Bernie folks. They always thought that Warren would run the good campaign and then they would flip under Sanders. Now they are fine with Biden winning instead.

Bad for both of them...

Tell these people don’t be stupid. They should vote for who they believe is the best candidate depending on whatever criteria they’re using. If Bernie was second choice vote and support Bernie. If Warren was second choice vote and support Warren. One of the annoying things of people who are new to politics is everything is a conspiracy or hit job. This is politics as usual, it’s dirty, it’s competitive and low blows are inevitable. I follow some people that worked in Obama’s campaign the 2008 primaries between Obama and Hillary was way more vicious than this, but in the end it’s about defeating the Republican. I’m just glad this didn’t come from Biden or Kolbochar camp since we’d never hear the end of the “Establishment is trying to screw Bernie” narrative.

Just a note: Bloomberg is definitely spending money in Texas. All of the adds are strictly against Trump.

Second note: Beto is really helping local candidates. I went to the Sima kick-off and Beto was right there with her and gave an outstanding intro...

bloomberg (and steyer) would be better people if they put their money towards this instead:

Read on Twitter

because (per wikipedia)

10.43% of the Florida population is disenfranchised
1,686,318 total Floridians are disenfranchised.
Florida has the most disenfranchised citizens in the United States.
Florida has the highest disenfranchisement rate in the United States.
23.3% of black voters in Florida can’t vote because of felony disenfranchisement.

Only makes sense.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/black-americans-deeply-pessimistic-about-country-under-president-who-more-than-8-in-10-describe-as-a-racist-post-ipsos-poll-finds/2020/01/16/134b705c-37de-11ea-bb7b-265f4554af6d_story.html

More than 8 in 10 black Americans say they believe Trump is a racist and that he has made racism a bigger problem in the country. Nine in 10 disapprove of his job performance overall.

The pessimism goes well beyond assessments of the president. A 65 percent majority of African Americans say it is a “bad time” to be a black person in America. That view is widely shared by clear majorities of black adults across income, generational and political lines. By contrast, 77 percent of black Americans say it is a “good time” to be a white person, with a wide majority saying white people don’t understand the discrimination faced by black Americans.

Meanwhile Parnas as well as a few other former associates are singing this song

A lot of what we call 'thought' is just mental activity

When you are accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression

Those who are convinced of absurdities, can be convinced to commit atrocities

It's looking less likely that Warren and Bernie will team up to so that one can beat Biden.

This is more religion than politics, but is this what Christians want to stand for - or is it just an isolated instance in KY? https://www.yahoo.com/gma/christian-school-expels-girl-over-rainbow-shirt-birthday-125300756--abc-news-topstories.html

At the end of the day, one of Bernie or Warren may have to drop out for either to have a chance.

And even then, a lot of Warren supporters are not even progressive and could shift to Biden or Mayor Pete.

I think Warren with enthusiastic backing from Bernie is probably the candidate who is at least as formidable as Biden.

Bernie could gain support from Warren dropping out, but I don't think he(or she) can consolidate her voters to the same degree.

Trump is a grifter that obviously identifies with other grifters. If there’s any argument that a woman should be President it’s this. These guys are too dumb and lazy to even do crimes right.

17 Warren, 15 Bernie for me. Disagreed with Bernie on guns and carbon tax, and I said I'd be open to UBI, which isn't part of Bernie's plan. The quiz is pretty flawed, but still interesting.
