One of my old colleagues, a biomedical research PhD, just posted on fb about a
protocol now being used, MATH, that uses a combination of cheap commonly used
meds that is beginning to show considerable promise.

Probably promotion for his new album.
President Trump told two senior Russian officials in a 2017 Oval Office meeting that he was unconcerned about Moscow’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election because the United States did the same in other countries

Dent-i-pres

When I was little, I was influenced by Pat Paulson's candidacy (I didn't really understand it, but it made my mother laugh), and the wide open nature of pre-convention Democratic campaigns. In 1972, Shirley Chisholm was my favorite, so completely different from all the others.

I realized anyone can run for president. So in 1976, I ran my father for president, running under the Loud Party ticket. No particular platform, fundraising was through two tiers: Red, White and Blue American at $0.11, and Gold Level Patriot Founding Father at $0.27. My father was not amused, my mother thought it was hilarious, my grandmother didn't get it. I got money from the latter.

People run for president for a lot of reasons: some think they can maybe win, some want a particular group of issues to get a higher profile, some want to raise their own profile for the political future, and some just want to do some charisma-based branding, marketing, and PR.

Trump just sucked up free publicity for his brand. His presidency is just an extension of that marketing campaign, nothing more. He had and still has no vision beyond that. Political support, casino success, gilt paint in a luxury condo, more Trump ties sold. It's all the same to him. Somehow he stumbled into capturing the reactionary extremist tendencies of his adopted party, and speaks on virtually every subject like a child who did not study for the test but knows his doting mother is the teacher and the only audience that matters.

I know, the bar is set really, really low. I'll take Kanye West over Trump. Easy call.

tl;dr - Bringing about change against the wishes of your oppressors is unavoidably uncomfortable for your oppressors. If you aren't making your oppressors uncomfortable, you aren't going to accomplish anything.

What a bleeping moron we have as our President. Is there a better way to say it?

Bubba Wallace owes absolutely nobody an apology for that.

I think if your ratings drop because you've banned the confederate flag... maybe your sport is full of racists?

David Brooks - 'a sociopath'

Steve Schmidt - 'an imbecile'

Is there a reason given for this? - other than Trump trying to turn the US into a shithole country?

Trump is in fact a tool of Putin and is actively trying to destroy an economic sector where we have a comparative advantage in order to please his master?

No, it's the cism. I get that it's Stephen Miller's wife, and she is who we thought she had to be, but this is the Trump administration in a nutshell:
