As soon as the older guys pass the ball.

Beal 6 assist
Napier 7 assist.
Bertans well hes the shooter.

Our young guys are not very good or often look scared out there, just reality.

Aint no Duncan Robinsons in our future.

Duncan Robinson turns 26 in April. Compare that to our four year seniors Garrison Mathews and Jerome Robinson who are just 23 years old.

Now, come on guys... there is a bright side to every loss! Charlotte could still wind up ahead of us -- a few more ping pong balls, likely a pick one higher, etc.

Plus, Mathews looking good on defense might be better as an indicator than him scoring well & looking bad on defense.

Plus, it's useful to see how competent Shabazz Napier has become. I hope we can keep him on the cheap.

The main thing I took away from the game is that I wish we had Bam Adebayo. Holy crap he is good!

Question: is Okongwu a player of the same kind?

We played 10 guys last night. 7 of them combined to score 14 points. That's pathetic....

It was a really weird game.

The Heat had stretches of really good defense, and, amazingly, so did we.

Our second unit, especially when Matthews was on the floor, hustled more than I've seen all year. They were fighting their way around screens, closing out shooters and rotating like their jobs depended on it.

Combine that with some really odd officiating, some bad outside shooting, stretches when the ball stuck like honey in Beal's hands, and you get that box score.

Much to my chagrin, Brown Jr. did not run the point very well when he was in there. We missed Ish quite a bit.

I was also disappointed with how Troy played as the PG last night. He looked tentative...didn't show a lot of confidence or aggression. I like it when Brown has the ball in his hands. He's smart and a good passer. But it's looking like he's much better when he's the secondary ball handler as opposed to the primary ball handler and distributor.

Duncan Robinson has made 24 of 37 3's in his last 3 games. Zoiks. Getting paid chump change this season and next - and then becomes an RFA.

Don't matter lets focus on better tallent, can we get a decent big man that is not soft as cotton.?

If the Wizards had a half of Bam we might be in the playoffs.

Interesting idea bringing Eddie back. Dantoni was an assistant for a while and come back and look at him now.

I think he is. I mean, there are some differences but I think he's going to have a similar shut-the-whole-other-team-down defensive kind of impact. And I'd also be absolutely shocked if he's around where the Wizards pick. I know he's being mocked all over the lottery but I can't see how he falls outside the top 3 this draft. He's just too good. I suppose Kawhi and Giannis both did but Okongwu is a fair bit more visible than they were as prospects.

He's a better and more instinctive shot-blocker than Bam, though Bam probably gets a slight edge in pretty much everything else. But I'm comparing Bam the all-star level NBA player to Okongwu the freshman. I never would have thought Bam would be such a skilled offensive player when he was at Kentucky.

Good info, guys.

Who are likely to be the biggest surprises this year, the greatest value picks -- i.e. with trading down in mind.
