just atrocious---he is a step up from Ernie but he is still a way below average NBA GM. 17 straight years with the wizards. What are we doing? Get an outside guy.

Shep needs to go. What a disastarous week lol

I am in denial about Tommy, the Lopez signing is awful, just waiting to see WTF this team looks-like this off-season, there is no rhyme or reason, no apparent strategy.

With the way the Ted Leonsis regime is structured, he'll be here another 10 years. Seems like he's got everyone drinking the kool-aid that he's the next big thing and he's the man with the plan.

Tommy seems to think he's running a Boy Scout group - after the Boy Scouts stopped existing. I don't know what's going on, but I think he's proven he can't handle the job. What an incompetent boob.

Lol, I'm already a closet Memphis fan. Pretty soon I'll probably buy a Morant jersey pretty soon. Not rushing to buy any Wizards gear, that's for sure.

Shepp is going nowhere soon. Ted has irrational patience b/c frankly he doesn't appear to care. Just remember how he bungled the search process and couldn't close the deal with guy who viewed this **** job as his dream job.

We got what many people assumed when we hired Ernie's 2nd in command. A guy that mentored for years by him. A younger, more vibrant version of Ernest Grunfeld.

Cant judge the pie before its finished being baked. Lets wait till he's done with his moves. Just maybe, there is thought to the madness.

I think we should let this play out and remember the roster that Shep inherited when he took over. Ernie was trying to hype up Chris McCullough not that long ago.

He manages just like Grunfeld. He ignores statistical body of work, and relies on his instincts and his eye. And he puts WAY too much value on intangibles.

He's got to go.

Didn't want Tommy to begin with.

We needed a clean out of the front office with someone from a winning program.

Just imagine the organizational incompetence of firing someone and then hiring his long-time 2nd in command and partner in crime.

It would be like voting out Trump but then electing President Pence and thinking “everything is going to be different now!”

Posters on the general board are laughing at the Wizards. Perpetual laughing stock.

This is a pretty emotional evening we're having I think.

The only thing more disastrous is this thread. Sheppard has done a great job and is building a team with a discernable vision. By letting him go now, we would be in essence starting all over. Sometimes it's better to just go to sleep rather than to post...

Never got why people threaten to stop being fans. No one forces you. If you want to leave, you should leave. I was a Wizard fan before J Wall, I'll be a Wiz fan after J Wall and I'll be a Wizard fan when the Wiz and J Wall make-up and put this after him.

I have no idea where you draw this optimism from, all I see is a pile of shite and shoddy work by the headman in charge.

I draw my optimism from his pickup of the likes of Bonga for next to nothing, Bertans for next to nothing, Wagner for next to nothing, Bryant, and Hach. To me, he's earned the time to watch his pie bake.

Miami did this past season shows what Memphis and Phoenix are going to do In this upcoming season.

I think Washington might legitimately sink to the bottom of the league. No defense and a bunch of soft SF/PFs. No quality wing defender. Ball stopping guards, neither player leads in defensive intensity. Just usage. Scott Brooks coach...

This team’s a mess.
