This begs the question, why the **** wouldn't you just let him heal up?

It's not like the Wizards were starved for options out there.

It sounds more like an excuse for his bad play. Obviously, Brooks has no issue with Westbrook sitting, because it removes accountability on his end and saves his job for a little while longer.

Easy answer. We only have 2 other PGs on the roster. Can't run a 3 PG lineup without Russ in there lol

According to Fred Katz, Russell Westbrook has been dealing with an injury since training camp. He had already had a no dunk rule in practice implemented.
