How did Natp4 predict 52 wins knowing Brooks was the coach? Isn't he the biggest Brooks critic on the board?

Yeah, I was a little surprised to see that. No way the Zards are going to go 52-20—even if Popovich was the coach.

Gotta love Natp4’s optimism tho.

Don't know how to change it but you could just create a new account with a different username. Might need a different email address.

Too late to change my prediction? Didn't calculate for "coach" Brooks' effect.

We probably beat the TWolves with no Towns, but its very possible we go 2-9 over the next 11 (Beat Wolves and split with Bulls) which would spell the end of Brooks @ 2-12.
We'd have to win almost 60% of our games from there on (34-24) just to get to .500.

Is there anyone on the staff that would make a difference, though? At that point just let Brooks ride out the year, while the focus stays on keeping Westbrook healthy and showcasing Beal as much as possible. Then change coaches in the offseason, move Beal/Westbrook for picks pre-draft, and start from scratch...again.

The good news is that at some-point we'll go on a winning-streak, Fat Laser is due for some hot nights, and so is the team.

I like Fat Lat, but either one reminds me of Fat Lever.

We'll be going 44-25 from here on out.

I made up my mind to go with 31 wins after seeing what Brooks did with his lineups in the pre-season, and so far Brooksie delivered.

The 5 game stretch following the opener would have been a great opportunity to build a cushion for a tough January, but instead the Wizards have once again managed to dig themselves a colossal hole despite having leads heading into the 4th quarter in all three contests.

I was going to come in around 25 wins, then I looked at the thread and saw all this optimism around here.

I thought, well maybe Westbrook is better than I think he is. Maybe Troy Brown and Rui Hachimura can be better than below average rotation players. Maybe Bryant can contribute more on offense than he gives away on defense. Maybe Beal can show that he's more than a nice scorer who's never going to be better than the 2nd or 3rd best player on a contending team. Maybe Bertans won't regress after signing a big contract. Maybe Avdija will have a positive impact right away. Maybe Brooks will stop doing the stupid stuff he's been doing for 4 years.

I bumped it up a little, to 29 wins. But I haven't seen anything yet to dissuade me from thinking that this is just not a very good team. Hope I'm wrong.

There is a typo on my prediction. Could you change the 3 to a 2?

Sporting an 2-8 record and a winning percentage of .200, your Washington Wizards are on pace for a 14 win season. At this point, fivethirtyeight was wildly optimistic.

Leader in the clubhouse?
